Tre it's Called a Wedding Cake, chapter 2
Tre and Billie were waiting in the car impatient horns blasted from the vehicle as Mike looked at himself in the mirror one last time, he frowned at the noise coming from outside. "Alright! I'm coming," he said to himself before walking out of the house.
He stopped when he saw Tre at the wheel, Billie rolled the window down, "Come on dude!"
"No!" Mike folded his arms across his tux covered chest.
"What?" Billie asked scratching his wild hair,
"I am definitely not getting in if Tre's driving."
"Don't be such a knob, get in the damn car!" Billie spat, grinning from ear to ear.
Tre pressed his palm into the horn, Mike's hands swept to his ears, "Get in!" Billie yelled over the noise.
"Or he won't stop" Mike sighed again and climbed into the back of the car.
They had been driving for half an hour before Mike pulled himself out of his moody rut and leaned forward towards Billie, "Where are we going?" he asked.
"There was a wedding in the paper today, not too far from here," Billie smiled at his bassist.
Tre grinned at the wing mirror, "Cheer up Mike, you'll have a gorgeous girl slobbering all over you in a bit."
Mike frowned, "You just concentrate on the road," Mike sat back wishing that the seatbelt wasn't broken.
"Tre!" Billie yelled, "You missed it! It was THAT left back there!"
"Really? Oh okay," All of a sudden Tre spontaniuosly did a U- turn in the middle of the road. Mike clutched on to Billie's seat for dear life. Tre was laughing almost maniacally, other cars horns were thundering in the air as the car skidded in the turn, Billie and Mike where yelling incoheriant curse words as Tre straightened up and headed for the road that was now on their right.
"TRE!" Mike yelled feeling his heart pump in his chest.
"What?" Tre asked turning right.
"See, this is why you don't drive with him at the wheel," Mike panted.
Billie laughed, "We're alive'
"Just," Mike muttered to himself as they pulled up opposite a small church.
The three got out the car and headed for the entrance, Tre swung an arm around Mike's shoulders, "Dude! You gotta lighten up, were gonna have fun."
"I'll lighten up when we get home with no criminal record and were not missing any fucking limbs," Mike hissed as Tre giggled and bounded up the steps.
"Why are you agreeing to this?" the bassist asked Billie as they went through the door.
"Come on Mike, it's an experience."
"Yeah it is," Mike groaned as a flower girl handed him a hymn book and he followed Tre and Billie into the pews on the bride's side of the church. Mike took in the guests, mostly old, married or really really young.
He turned and noticed Tre grinning at something. He leaned forward to see a brunette girl blushing slightly and giggling at Tre as he raised his eyebrows. Mike rolled his eyes, could Tre want to be anymore like Vince Vaughen?
He felt a tap on his shoulder and he turned to the man who was sitting next to him, "Hey, I'm Benny Wise, nice to meet you," the old guy shook Mike's hand.
"Hey, I'm Mike, that is Tre down there and this is Billie," Mike smiled.
Benny froze at Billie's name, "Billie did you say?" Mike nodded unsure where this was going, did this old guy recognize Billie?
"Then shouldn't Billie be at the altar?" Mike's eyes went huge
"What?"
"Well it's Billy and Adele's wedding he should be at the altar" Mike was speechless, this didn't happen in the movie.
"Erm, no, different Billie, he's not getting married"
"HELL HE IS!" Benny yelled, causing a few people to look,
"HE'S NOT STANDING MY NIECE UP!" He reached over and grabbed Billie's collar dragging him to the altar,
"OI! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Billie was yelling and kicking as Mike stood up and ran after his friend, he grabbed Benny by the arm, "Sorry, wrong Billie" he said again harshly.
Suddnely a pretty blonde girl had appeared in front of them and grabbed Benny's arm, "Uncle Benny, thats a different Billie, look, Billy Gray who is marrying Adele is there at the side of the altar," she smiled warmly at Mike who felt a flutter in his gut. "Sorry," she smiled at him, taking Benny away as Billie pulled free of the old man's gnarly grip.
"Christ," Billie said. "He's strong."
"Yeah" Mike answered breathlessy looking at the girl walk away. Billie followed Mike's eye and smiled, "And look who didn't want to come," he grinned nudging him and pulling him back to their seats.
Tre turned his head from eye flirting with the brunette girl, "Dude" he said as they took their seats, "That girl wants me bad....hey where have you been?"
Mike sighed, "Well while you were having eye sex over there, Billie was mistaken for the groom by some senile old uncle," Tre chuckled.
"Whatever...that doesn't happen in the movie."
Billie and Mike exchanged grins and rolled eyes standing up as the wedding march started, Billie looked over at the bridal posession, 'damn that bridesmaid was fine,' he thought 'did she just smile at me?' He grinned to himself....'Tre is a genious'.
