Why Is Love So Complicated?, chapter 2
The next morning, I woke up to Adrienne, calling my name.
"Get up you idiot" she yelled.
"I am, I am. What time is it?" I asked, stifling a yawn
"7:30am" she replied sharply.
"Why am I getting up so early?" I asked confused, and tired after very little sleep.
"Because, I said so" She replied, sounding slightly annoyed.
"Ok" I said getting up, and going to make coffee.
An hour or so later, I decided I should talk to Adrienne, we needed to sort things out between us.
"Adrienne?" I asked.
"What?" she snapped.
"We need to talk, about... about us" I started. She looked up for a second.
"I think if we are going to go on like this, we have to get a divorce, and I will see the kids on a weekend and stuff" I said, fumbling with the wedding ring on my finger.
"No, really Billie I think we need some time alone, away from the kids, so we can talk just you and me"
great, more of a chance for her to have a go at me, where the kids can't hear her yelling at me
"Fine, I'll call Mike and see if he can look after the boys" I said looking up at her.
god, I had forgotten how beautiful she was, sitting there just smiling at me for once in about a month, instead of yelling or snapping at me. This is how it should be
