Extraordinary Girl, chapter 14
"Bye Tre," I said, as he held me to try and stop me from leaving.
"Don't go!" Tre said, kissing my face, neck and chest, "I'll get down on my hands and knees and beg you!" He kneeled down and held and kissed my hand.
I giggled like a school girl, "Tre! Stop! I have to, I'm sorry... "
He stood up and hugged me, "Okay, fine leave me... just as long as you know I love you."
"I know, I love you too."
We stood there making out for a couple of minutes until I noticed Mike walk into the kitchen and grab a beer from the fridge.
"Okay, I'm really going now."
"You really don't have to, I have a double bed... "
"Tre! I have to go!"
"Fine, I'll miss you."
"Me too, C'ya!" I said as I pecked him on the lips and walked down the street with a big grin on my face.
"What game are you playing at Tre?" Mike asked.
"What do you mean?" Tre replied, confused.
"How are you going to break her heart this time?"
"What are you talking about!"
"Don't pretend you don't know, all the other girls, and you think that she's going to feel any different when you break her heart?"
"Why are you caring all the sudden, you've laughed about it before and now you're like the serious Mike, it's weird and annoying."
"I'm trying to tell you to not break her heart, you don't even know what shit she may be going through in her own personal world."
"Mike! Shut the fuck up, you're not my fucking mum!"
"Why don't you think about the girls instead of yourself? Do you know how hurt they would feel?"
"Mike, Lexi is different. I love this girl."
"Love? You don't even know the meaning of love! You know the meaning of lust, there's a difference you know. Not to mention you've known her for about a week."
"Mike, I know the meaning of love more than do."
"Oh really?" Mike said, as he fought back tears and stormed outside, slamming the door behind him.
"Mike! Wait! I don't mean it like that... fuck!" Tre said as he realised what he had just said.
As Lexi walked into her yard she heard screaming coming from inside, her smile instantly dropped. She opened the door and saw her dad hitting her mum, he'd been drinking again.
"About fucking time you decide to show up!" her dad yelled at Lexi.
"Don't get her involved," my mum replied.
"Shut the fuck up you ugly whore," my dad said.
"Why do you do this?" Lexi asked her dad as tears began streaming down her face.
"Because you were a mistake, why can't you find another home, NOBODY WANTS YOU HERE!" my dad screamed.
"That's our daughter you're talking to, do you care, do you have any feelings inside your cold fucking heart?"
"SHE WAS A MISTAKE! SHUT THE FUCK UP!" he pushed onto the wall.
Lexi began screaming, "STOP IT! STOP IT! STOP IT! STOP IT! STOP IT!"
"Shut your fucking mouth!" my dad tried to say over my screaming, I didn't stop.
He walked over to me and hit me across my face with the back of his hand, his wedding ring bruising my cheek. "You can have this fucking ring back you slut, what does it mean anymore?" he said as he threw it at my mum, he stormed outside and slammed the door.
I looked at my mum as I held my cheek in pain and tears began to soak my fingertips. Mum was crying as well as she sat on the floor, "Just go upstairs Lexi."
I walked to the bathroom and opened the cabinet, it was almost automatic now, calmly get the scissors and slice them across my upper wrist then quickly grab the face washer before the blood dripped onto the tiles. The feeling wasn't pleasant and it didn't make me feel better inside, it just evened out the pain. I cleaned up the mess and wrapped some bandage over my cut.
That night I cried myself to sleep.
"Don't go!" Tre said, kissing my face, neck and chest, "I'll get down on my hands and knees and beg you!" He kneeled down and held and kissed my hand.
