A Berkeley Story, chapter 1
Six friends from the Pittsburgh metro of Pennsylvania are given the oppurtunity to go to a boarding school in California. Their names are Kelly, Tara, Erica, Kayla, Sheila, and (you) Andrea. They all agree, and they are heading to the airport today, August 27. This is where our story begins...
Kelly's mother is driving you and your friends to the airport on a warm yet cloudy August morning. You get there a while before you are scheduled to board the flight, so you decide to look around.
It is now 11:25 am. You are to board the plane at this time, so you quickly grab all of your things, and your friends do the same. You board the plane. You find a section of six seats. Kayla and Sheila sit beside eachother on the left side of the plane. Kelly and you sit across the isle from them, which leaves Erica and Tara behind you two. Everyone gets adjusted; most listening to music. You reach into your bag before putting it in the stow-away compartment, and take out a medium sized purse, your cd's, cd player, and extra batteries. Kelly, Kayla and Sheila do the same. Erica and Tara get all comfy and start to talk; which is the usual. {Note to reader: you will get used to Erica & Tara talking a lot }
The plane takes off. After everyone aw-ing over the view, you take out your cd's and select Nimrod, by your favorite band, Green Day. And, this basically makes you set for the whole trip. {Gotta love Green Day!!!} Kelly looks at you, amused, as you sing along to "King for a Day". She takes out From Under the Cork Tree, by her favorite band, Fall Out Boy. You can't tell what song she's listening to, because she doesn't blast her music like you. Kayla and Sheila don't touch their music, they talk for a while and then read some books. And, Tara and Erica are still talking... suprise suprise.
The pilot says over the intercom, "We will be landing at the San Francisco International Airport in five to ten minutes, so please secure your possessions." Everyone gets very anxious to see California, even though you've been staring out the window for over an hour.
