A Berkeley Story, chapter 18
The next morning; September 6. You woke up, not really sure where you were. You looked around and then saw Joey asleep beside you. And that was when you remembered what had happened last night. You thought to yourself Oh yesss. You smiled then leaned over and kissed him so he would wake up. (Note: Erica wrote that part).
"Ooh, hello," Joey said softly.
"Hey," you returned, also softly, "I'm gonna go see if my friends are up yet..."
"What time is it?"
"Eight...no one's probably up yet."
"I better go before they do wake up then."
"Okay." He kissed you, put on his clothes, and then left. You sat there with a small smile gleaming on your face. You finally got up and started to get ready for the day. You came up with the idea to go out to breakfast. You decided to ask Kayla. You went over to her dorm, and into her room... but you didn't find just Kayla.
"Andrea!" she screamed and jumped out of her bed. She led you back into your room.
"What are you doing with Cole?" you asked.
"That's none of your business. Besides, it's nothing different than what you and Joey have done."
"What exactly have you seen me and Joey do?"
"Oh, come on Andrea. You know."
"No, actually I don't."
"I see you making out with him every night...and that's..." she paused for a moment and then continued, "all we were... doing."
"Oh, okay. Anyway... I was trying to ask you if you wanted to go out to breakfast...?"
"Uh, yeah, sure. Just give me a little bit."
"Okay, I have to go down to Joey's anyway...so come down there when you're ready."
You left the room and started towards Joey's. You knocked and he answered. "Hey... back so soon?" he said.
"Ha ha very funny...don't you remember...you were at my dorm last night anyway?"
"Oh yeah." He laughed. You went in and sat down on the couch. Joey plopped down beside you. "So what'd ya want?"
"Wanna go out to breakfast with Kaykay?"
"Sure."
"Okay, well we gotta wait for her... I told her to come down here when she was ready."
"Okay. Speaking of here...have you seen Cole?"
"No." you lied.
"Are you sure?"
"Yea."
"Okay, cause he's been hanging out with Kayla alot lately and I wasn't sure what they were up to."
"Really?"
"Yea... why? You have seen him haven't you?!"
"Well yea, but it wasn't that big of a deal..."
"Where was he?"
"With Kayla."
"Oh really?"
"Yep."
"Well isn't that strange..." There was a knock at the door. It was Kayla of course... and, "Cole? Where have you been?"
"Oh, just hanging around with Kayla."
"Oh, okay."
"Yea." You asked,
"So, everyone ready to go?"
"Yea," they said.
You walked down the street to a restaurant. "Hey, this looks familiar," you said.
"Yea, it's Mike's," Joey said.
"Oh yea.. that's right," you laughed. It was 'Rudy's Can't Fail Café'. When you were all seated Kayla started talking.
"Andrea, there's something I need to tell you," she said. You noticed that she was holding Cole's hand.
"That's okay... I know," you said, motioning to her hand. "Okay.. well there's more." She was speaking in little more than a whisper.
"Okay... well tell me later."
"Okay."
"Ooh, hello," Joey said softly.

"What are you doing with Cole?" you asked.
"That's none of your business. Besides, it's nothing different than what you and Joey have done."
"What exactly have you seen me and Joey do?"
"Oh, come on Andrea. You know."
"No, actually I don't."
"I see you making out with him every night...and that's..." she paused for a moment and then continued, "all we were... doing."
"Oh, okay. Anyway... I was trying to ask you if you wanted to go out to breakfast...?"
"Uh, yeah, sure. Just give me a little bit."
"Okay, I have to go down to Joey's anyway...so come down there when you're ready."
