A Berkeley Story, chapter 21
You ran over to him.
"Hey... Josh?!"
"Heyyy... geez what are you doing out here?"
"I go to school here... you?"
"I got a place up in Albany... remember I told you.. and wait, you go to school in a mall? Haha"
"No you fucking idiot.. West Berkley Boarding School. Haha"
"Ooooh... you go to a boarding school?"
"Yeah, better than FC haha, some special program thingy.. so me and my whores just decided 'What the fuck? Better than staying here.' And... here we are."
"Oooh... speaking of yer whores... where are they?"
"Haha don't you mean just Kayla?"
"Well yea... and everyone else that is."
"Yea uh huh kay...well they all went off without us haha... but we were heading to AE cuz... well that's where they're most likely at."
"Ooooh okay... we?"
"Yea, oh sorry... this is my boyfriend Joey."
"Hey I'm Josh." "Hey," Joey said, finally.
You and Joey continued to AE, along with Josh. You got there finally, and low-and-behold, there they all were.
"Hey losers look who we found," you said. They immediately looked up and ran over. (--To make this short--) All of your friends starting talking and such. After Josh said,
"Hey, we're having a party tonight at my place. Wanna come?" Of course you all said yes.
"Okay cool. Here's the address," he said and left.
You finished up your shopping and ended up with three bags- two from Hot Topic and one from AE. As you were walking out, you noticed that Joey was being abnormally quiet. So, you pulled him by the wrist and asked,
"Hun, what's wrong?"
"Nothing," he said shaking his head.
"No Joey I know when there's something wrong. Now tell me."
"Well... who's this Josh kid that you all are fucking over?"
"Joey?! He's just a friend. Holy shit are you jealous?"
"Why would I be? Oh no, my girlfriend's only running up to some random guy leaving me behind, and then planning on going to his house later. Why would I be jealous?!"
"Joey, Joey, Joey! Shit calm down. You don't have any reason to be jealous. No one's better than you and I would never even try to have someone replace you. You know that right? I love you. And you should be a able to trust me." Joey sighed,
"I know... I'm sorry Dre-bae. It's just... I never wanna lose you hun. You know that's what guys do when they're afraid they're losing the girl they love. They think she'll cheat on them... but I'm really sorry. I love you too much to even think about losing you," he kissed you.
"Aww well alright then. You're okay?" he nodded his head, yes.
"Okay good and don't worry about tonight. I'll stay right beside you."
"Well, you're not going to be able to, cause I'm not going."
"Joey?!" He could tell that you were really upset now.
"No no no calm down. I'm not going cause I promised my parents I'd spend some time at home before school started. And well... I really wouldn't feel right there. And you need to catch up with your past, you know? I don't wanna take that away from you." You smiled,
"Joey, how is it possible for a guy to be so nice and not... gay?" You both laughed.
"Yeah... haha maybe I get it from my dad seeing as he's bi haha. Or maybe from listening to all those fucking love songs he wrote my mom haha."
"Aw I love those songs... 2,000 light years away... 80 of course haha... and like all the others... umm oh Only of You-"

"-huh?!"
"Oh... uh sorry that's not his haha."
"Uh huh yeah sure." You kissed him and ran to catch up with your friends.
