A Berkeley Story, chapter 8
<p>It was now 11:00, which meant the party was over, and you only had one hour to spend with Joey. (You must be in your dorm rooms by midnight.) Most everyone left except your friends and Joey's friends: Brad, Mark, Evan, Steven, and Cole.</p> <p>You and Joey finally stopped holding hands, as you and the others started to help him clean up. When everything was done, you all sat down on the couch or floor.</p> <p>You, Joey, Cole, and Kayla were on the couch. 11:30 came around, and Joey's friends asked your friends if they wanted to go down on the boardwalk, since you and Joey had already. Your friends were hesitant at first, but you gave them a 'leave or I will hurt you' look.</p> <p> So they left... they left you and Joey all alone.<br />"So..." you said."I really had fun tonight."<br />"Yea, me too," Joey said.</p>
<p>You both sat on the couch smiling softly at each other. You looked into his eyes and he did the same. (He had lovely green eyes) Time flew by so fast, you didn't catch a thing that was happening.</p> <p> You felt as if the room was spinning and it just wouldn't stop- but then - all at once, you felt your head move, and you saw his head move; yours towards him and his towards you.</p> <p>You felt your lips meet his, and time froze. Then you remembered everything. You lingered in the moment. The kiss broke off and you both sat back.</p> <p>Joey stood up quickly, walking away, and he started to apologize, saying, "I'm sorry. We just met, and we were all alone. I'm sorry. I didn't mean it."</p> <p> But you cut him off mid-apology, "It's okay. It's okay. I know." He sat back down beside you.<br />"I'm sorry," he said, hanging his head slightly.<br /> "No, it's okay," you said. You lifted his chin up so his face met with yours.<br /> You lowered your hand. "I really like you, even though we just met..." he said.<br /> "Me too," you said slowly.</p> <p>You sat for a few seconds in silence. Then your lips touched again, less shy than the first, and with much more passion. Before you knew it, you were making out with him. You finally broke off when you noticed someone coming up the stairs. "What's wrong?" Joey asked.</p> <p>"They're back. I better go."</p> <p>"Oh, okay."</p> <p>You began walking down the hall, when someone suddenly grabbed your shoulder and turned you around. It was Joey. He started to kiss you again and stopped for a moment to say, "It's only 11:50... ten minutes til midnight." You opened your eyes up wider, to meet his. You smiled sweetly, as Joey led you back into his dorm.</p>
