Scattered, chapter 17
In Billie's room at the Hospital (Krystal, Tre, Mike, and Ellie)
"So what happened?" Mike asked Krystal.
"He called me and said like two words and then I guess he passed out and dropped the phone."
"Did he tell you why he'd do something like this?"
"No all he said to me was "I didn't mean for this ended up this bad." Then he didn't say anything else."
"While it's a good thing that you got there when you did, babe." Tre hugged Krystal who still seemed shaken up over all what had happened.
"Yah, anyway I'm going to change, tell me if he wakes up." Krystal got up off Tre's lap and took the clothes he brought her.
"I wanna know what he was thinking." Tre said look at the still Billie Joe on the bed.
"I don't know. But I think for now on, we should all maybe keep an eye on him. I mean just for a week or 2."
"Yah that's a good idea Mike."
Next floor at the Hospital (May)
May laid in bed unable to sleep so she decided to turn on the TV and when she did, she was socked to hear what they were talking about
TV: the front man Billie Joe Armstrong, from Green day is in park side hospital today. He arrived early this morning, in an ambulance. Reasons for why he's in the hospital or any other kind of information has not been released yet. But stay tuned and while update you when we find out more.
After hearing that May turned off the TV and started to debate with herself if he should go down there and see if Billie was Ok, or if she shouldn't even bother, cuz if she went down there it just make things worst. Thinking it over, she decided to stay where she was. She knew that Billie knew where she was, and if he wanted to see her he'd come up.
In Billie's room at the Hospital (Krystal, Tre, Mike, and Ellie)
"I think he's coming around." Krystal looked at Billie.
"It's look like that for a wile now." Mike said looking at Billie, and the heart machine.
Hours went by of watching the life less Billie, and nurse and doctors coming in and out of the room.
"Krystal, are you hungry?" Tre asked.
"Nope." Krystal didn't even take her eyes off Billie.
"I am." Mike and Ellie both said.
"Ok do you guys wanna come and found some place to get something to eat?"
"Yah, sure.."
"Krystal wanna come? He won't go anywhere." Tre joked.
"Ha, real funny. No I don't wanna go but could you bring me something back?"
"Yah, sure." Tre, Mike and Ellie left Krystal in the room.
Not no much late after Tre, Mike, and Ellie left Billie opened his eyes and looked around, once he seen that he wasn't alone he closed his eyes again and stayed still.
"I seen that Billie, open your eyes. Billie open your eyes now!" Billie just laid there and could hear they how worried Krystal was every time she talked, Billie took a deep breath not knowing what kind of question he was gonna be asked he opened his eyes. Krystal just looked at Billie, and Billie looked back into her eyes.
"Are you ok?" Billie asked Krystal.
"Am I ok? More like are you ok? I mean look at yourself your hooked up to an IV and a machine for your heart." Krystal raised her voice but she sounded more worried then mad. Billie just looked down at his hand where the IV was hooked up to and the white stuff around his wrist.
"Are you the only one here?"
"No, Tre, Mike, and Ellie just went to find something to eat."
"Ok. What's on the ground?"
"What?"
"Beside you."
"My other pair of clothes, I changed I had blood on the other ones."
"From me?"
"Yes."
"Sorry."
"It's ok don't worry about it. So Billie can I ask you something."
"Do I have to answer?"
"Yah, that'd be nice."
"Ok."
"What made you turn to cutting yourself, you've been dealing with everything fine, till now. What happened?"
"Dawna called me."
"And?"
"And she wanted me to take her back, she told me she loved me and said sorry. I almost said I loved her back, but then everything clued in and I hung up. But she kept calling. I got up set and say the knife laying there."
"Why did you just unhook the phone?"
"Never thought of it."
"While I guess it doesn't matter now."
"No, I guess your right, hey Krystal I wanna thank you for comin down when I called."
"No problem. But you have to swear one thing."
"What?"
"You have to swear that you'll never do anything like this again."
"I swear."
(Tre, Mike, And Ellie)
Tre, Mike and Ellie were walking back to Billie's room when could hear a woman at the front desk asking to see Billie, when Mike looked over there he could tell who it was.
"Dawna's here." Mike told Tre.
"Where?"
"The front desk."
"Hum, I wonder if she's behind this." Ellie looked at Dawna.
"Who knows, she most likely needs money or something, that why she's back."
"Or she wants to see if Billie's ok." Ellie interrupted.
"She could be right Mike. We could bring her in."
"We could but what if Billie's awake and gets mad?"
"He'd just tell her to leave, and that be it."
"And if she doesn't leave?" Ellie asked.
"I'm sure we can get someone to show her out."
"Alight." Mike wasn't too happy about this idea but he want on with it anyways.
Tre walked up to where Dawna and the lady were fighting.
"She's with us."
"What?" Dawna turned around to see Tre, Mike, and Ellie standing there. "Yah, I'm with them."
"Alright, go ahead."
While walking down to Billie's room Dawna started to ask questions.
"Is he ok?"
"He should be fine." Ellie answered.
"What happened?"
"He got hurt." Mike said.
"Alright here we are, I'm gonna tell you now, he might not be awake."
"Oh, and he might not be happy to see you as well." Mike throe in there before Tre opened the door.
"Your back?" Krystal said when Tre walked into the room.
"Yup, hey and your awake." Mike said looking at Billie.
"Sure am."
"Here's, your food." Mike stood in front of the door while giving Krystal her food, hoping Billie wouldn't see Dawna, who was behind Ellie.
"Hey Ellie who's behind you?" Billie asked.
"Ah." Was all she said as she pushed Mike and walked in. Leaving it clear for Billie to see who it was.
"I'm not talking to you." Billie said when he seen it was Dawna.
"Why the hell did you guys bring her here?" Krystal asked.
"It was all Tre's idea." Mike whispered.
"Billie come on we need each other more then ever."
"Pff." Billie rolled around.
"Billie come on don't be like that, I'm sorry. Please just listen to me."
"Hmm. I'm listening and you better make this good, cuz this is the one and only time I'll listen."
Dawna just stood there quiet for a little before she started talking, and I guess what she said got to Billie. Or he gave into her crying.
"Ok, Dawna I'll give you one more change. But if it doesn't work out this time, you must stay out of my life, I don care how bad your life gets."
"Ok."
"Now come here, and give me a hug." Dawna went over and gave Billie. "Dawna."
"Yes Billie."
"You need to stop crying." Billie stroked Dawna's face.
"Mr. Armstrong." One of the doctors walked into the room.
"Yes?" Dawna sat on the end of the bed, so she wasn't in the doctor's way.
"We should be able to let you go sometime tomorrow."
"Are you sure I can't leave today?"
"No you cant. You must stay here one nigh it's for your own good."
"Alright."
"Ok, while now that your awake, I can tell you what we've done to your wrist."
"Ok?"
"We had to stitch you up so you'd stop bleeding, in a week or two were gonna call you back in so we can take them out. But till then I don't want you bedding your wrist, unless it's need. So that means no heavy lifting, or playing guitar in your case."
"For a week or two?"
"Yes I'm afraid so."
"Ok, I guess I can deal with that."
"All right that's good. And oh someone will be bringing you something to eat sooner or later."
"Ok thanks."
"Yup." The doctor left the room.
"So that's good only a week or two then we can finish this CD." Tre said."
"Yah, that's if Dawna will let me."
"Oh, go ahead. Have your fun."
"While it a good thing you said yes."
"Why is that?"
"Cause I would have done it anyway."
"I'm sure you would have."
"Hey Krystal." Billie looked over at Krystal who looked disgusted at the situation of him and Dawna.
"Yah?"
"Did you by any chance lock my door?"
"No didn't get time to, I jumped into the ambulance and we were gone."
"While you won't have to lock it if I went down there." Dawna said.
"Wouldn't you wanna stay here with Billie tonight?" Krystal asked.
"No it's ok, I'll be fine, she can go if she wants."
"Are you sure?" Dawna asked.
"Ya."
"Alright."
"While I'll go with you. I left the car there, and the car keys are on the floor."
"Can she come?" Dawna asked Billie.
"Ya, why couldn't she?"
"Can I go as well?" Ellie asked.
"Sure. Just don't mind the mess on the floor."
"Oh I don't think I could look at your floor with out getting sick." Ellie said.
"How you guy gonna get there?" Mike asked.
"Walk." Dawna said.
"That's a long walk." Tre pointed out.
"No I think the fresh air will do me good." Krystal said.
"Ok? Shoot yourself. I'd give you money for cab."
"No it's fine. Oh, and I'll be back to pick you up." Krystal said before walking out the door.
"Alright."
"Ellie wait." Mike yelled before the door closed.
"What?" Be careful out there, those people will stop at nothing to get information from you."
"You really think they'll recognize us. I mean were not with you."
"They will, don't kid yourself. Now if they ask you anything just say no comment and keep walking."
"Or if you ladies would like to you could take the back way out. They would never know you left."
"And you are?" Krystal looked at the lady.
"The nurse, I'm bringing Billie his food."
"While I think it'd be a great idea for you guys to go out the back." Tre looked over at the Krystal.
"Ya I guess so I'm not in the mood to deal with people."
"Alright while hold on a minute." The nurse gave Billie his food and showed Krystal, Ellie and Dawna to the back way out of the hospital, and like she said no one was there.
"So what happened?" Mike asked Krystal.
