Scattered, chapter 21
Next day
When Billie woke up he found himself on the couch when he went to stand up his head stared to hurt and he had to sit back down. Once he sat back down, he noticed that there was some aspirin on the table with a glass of water, and beside it was a note. Billie took the aspirin and drank the water, and picked up the note.
It read:
Billie went to buy food, would have woken you up, but I though it was better if you slept. Billie placed the note down, and laid back on the couch for a little till the phone rang.
"Hello."
"Hi."
"Who is this?"
"It's me Krystal. How are you doing?"
"Ah, my head is killing me but that it. How about you?"
"My back kills."
"Why?"
"Cause Tre fell asleep on my back last night. You know I never really noticed how heavy he was till this morning."
"Ha nice."
"Man, I don't even know how I got inside last night."
"While my moneys on that Dawna and Mike got you guys in."
"Yah, most likely."
"Hey Krystal!" Tré yelled.
"Hold on Billie."
"Okay."
"What?" Krystal yelled away from the phone.
"Ask Billie if he knows who won the game last night."
"I'm sure he remembers," Krystal said sarcastically.
"Well, then get him to ask Dawna."
"Fine. Hey Billie. Ah, Tré wants to know."
"I know I heard, while I don't know and right now Dawna's not here."
"Where is she?"
"She left me a note saying she went to buy some food."
"Oh okay."
"Ya, hey I wonder how Ellie is doing, she drank a lot of rum last night."
"Ya I know, and she's not one for straight up liquor. I think I should call Mike and see how she's doing."
"Ya, I guess you should and that way you can find out the winner of our little game."
"Good idea, while talk to you later."
"Bye," Billie hung up the phone, and went upstairs for a shower.
Dawna
"I have to go to the store now and get some groceries."
"Why?"
"Because I think Billie would find it odd that I left him a note saying I was, and then come home empty handed."
"While you could just tell him there was nothing good to buy."
"Or I could just go buy food," Dawna said picking up her clothes off the floor, and went into the bathroom.
"Alright while I guess I could come with you then."
"No Matt, if people see us together, they might tell Billie. Its better if you don't come," Dawna washed her face and fixed her hair.
"Oh. So then when's the next time we can see each other again."
"Matt, there isn't gonna be a next time. I'm breaking up with you."
"What?"
"It's done with me and you please don't call me, and I won't call you."
"Dawna, you just called to ask to meet me, we have sex and now you're breaking up with me?"
"While the sex, I wasn't planning on. But Matt, I know that you've been cheating on me with other girls for a long time now."
"Who told you that?"
"No one did, Matt, I'm not stupid."
"Okay, well, all right, I might as well tell you. I did sleep with someone else but it meant nothing."
"Sure, this isn't like the first time you've cheated on me. Anyways I'm not gonna waste my time with you when I can be with someone who will be truthful to me."
"Whatever, as if you should be talking Dawna, I mean you're going out with that guy and you are having sex with me. I mean sure he is truthful to you, but can you be truthful to him, Dawna? I know you can't."
"Mhm, you know what Matt. I am done with you, and everything I had to do with you. You can keep all my clothes and do whatever with it."
"What, you made him to buy you new clothes?"
"He has a name, and no Billie offered to buy them."
"So this is really over then."
"Yes, and thank god!"
"Dawna, I know sooner or later you'll be crawling back to me, like you've done many times before!" Matt yelled before Dawna slammed the door.
Dawna got in the car and went to get some food, as she said she was. It was about two when Dawna walked into the dark house and seen that Billie was no longer on the couch. Dawna put away the food, before going upstairs.
"How are you feeling?" Dawna asked Billie when she walked into the room.
"Fine, I guess."
"I see you had a shower." Dawna picked up the towel off the floor, and the other clothes.
"I was gonna do laundry tonight," Billie held his head.
"Don't worry about it, I can handle it. Do you want me to bring you anything before I start the laundry and cooking dinner?"
"Ah, some aspirin and a drink?"
"Sure," Dawna went downstairs and came back up with the aspirin and the drink Billie had asked for. "Anything else?"
"No, I'm fine, but thanks."
"Okay," After Dawna left the room, Billie fell back asleep.
Now on the other hand Dawna put the laundry in, and went for a shower having nothing else to do. After she finished her shower, she finished the laundry and started dinner. Dawna was in the kitchen getting ready to take out the food when Billie hugged her.
"You feeling better?" Dawna asked hugging Billie back.
"Yeah, much."
"While dinner is ready if you wanna go sit at the table."
"What is for dinner?"
"Chicken, mash potatoes, and corn."
"I don't have corn."
"I bought some today."
"Alright," Billie went to sit down, and down followed along with the rest of the food.
"You know you didn't have to make all this."
"I know. So you better eat it."
Billie grinned, and started to eat.
Mike and Ellie
"Do you want anything to eat?" Mike asked Ellie who hadn't left the couch since she got up.
"I don't know, my stomach just stopped hurting."
"Well, you need to eat something, you haven't held anything down all day."
"I guess, I'll try and eat some toast."
"I'll get it for you," Mike went into the kitchen, and made both him and Ellie some toast.
Soon after they both ate, Ellie laid back down on the couch, feeling a bit better Ellie ended up falling asleep on the couch.
Billie and Dawna
"You got cookies?" Billie asked from the kitchen.
"Yeah."
"I'm gonna eat some do you want any?"
"No, I'm fine."
"Okay," Billie came out of the kitchen with some cookies and a glass of milk.
"But I would like a drink of your milk."
"While if you got up ad went into the kitchen you could have your own."
"I don't want to." Dawna picked up the cup, and was about to drink out of it when
Billie nudged her arm moving the cap. Almost all the milk fell on Dawna.
"Now give me the rest of that before you spill it," Billie tried to take the cup back.
"No, I didn't get a drink."
"And that's my fault why?"
"It is."
"Nope."
"Whatever, I'll just go get my own."
"Oh, and while you're up, could you fill my cup up please?" Billie grinned.
"Fine," Dawna took Billie's cup and filled it up, then came back out into the living room.
"Do you want a cookie for your milk?"
"Sure."
"Too bad," Dawna just rolled her eyes, and sat back on the couch. "Are you mad now?"
"Yes, really mad Billie."
"Well, I was only jokin' if you really want a cookie you can have it."
"I don't want the cookie and I'm not mad."
"You're moping."
"What, do I have to smile all the time?"
"Ah, you never smile."
"Whatever, just give me the cookies," Billie gave Dawna the last two cookies he had.
After Dawna ate the cookies, Billie and Dawna cuddled on the couch.
"Wow its 11, I think its time I go to bed. You coming or are you coming up later?"
"I'm coming. I have to put my pjs on anyway." Dawna turned off the tv.
"Alright, well, I'll close my eyes while you do that," Billie kissed Dawna before she went up the stairs.
"You don't have to," Dawna smiled and walked up the stairs as Billie followed behind her.
Week Later
"Hello?" Dawna picked up the phone.
"Hi, is Billie Joe Armstrong home?"
"Sure is. Hold on I'll get him."
"Thanks."
"Billie. Someone is on the phone asking for you."
"Alright, be right there."
"He's coming."
"Thanks."
"Hello?" Billie picked up the phone.
"Hi, I am just calling to inform you that you can come in today to get your stitches removed.
"Oh, okay. What time should I come down there?"
"Whenever is good for you Mr. Armstrong."
"Okay then, I'm on my way."
"Alright."
"Bye," Billie hung up the phone.
"Where are you going?" Dawna asked when she seen Billie with his shoes on.
"Hospital, where are my car keys?"
"Hospital?"
"Yeah, to get my stitches taken out."
"Oh okay, can I come?"
"Sure just help me find my keys."
"Are they hanging up on the hook inside the closet?"
"I don't know I haven't looked there," As soon as Billie found his keys, Billie and Dawna went down to the hospital.
