Scattered, chapter 26
The next morning Krystal woke up on the couch while Tre was laying asleep on the other one. Krystal got up and went for a shower when she came back down Tre was still sleeping. It was about 12 so Krystal went up stairs to call Ellie. When Krystal called Mike picked up the phone.
"Hello?"
"Hi Mike it's me Krystal, can I talk to Ellie?"
"Yah, hold on I'll go get her."
"Thanks."
Mike placed the phone down and went to get Ellie. Krystal could here Mike telling Ellie to go get the phone.
"Hello?" Ellie picked up the phone.
"Hi how are you?"
"Good what's up Krystal, why are you calling?"
"Nothings up... I just wanted to know if you'd like to do something with me today."
"Like what?"
"I do not know just come with me. I also have something to tell you."
"Alright when coming to get me?"
"I don't know I'll come get you after I talk to Tre."
"Why don't you do that now?"
"He's still sleeping."
"Oh, alright I'll be ready, just call before you leave."
"Sure."
"Alright bye." Ellie hung up the phone.
It was around 2 when Krystal had called Ellie back, telling her she was on her way.
"So where are we going?"
"While I really didn't want to go anywhere, I was just thinking we could go the park or something."
"The park?"
"Not like the park with swings and everything. The nice one, with tree's and what not."
"Oh, ok. So ah, what did you wanna tell me?"
"Ok if I tell you, you have to keep it to yourself and tell no one!"
"Ok, what is it?"
"No, Ellie I really mean it, swear on your mother's life or something."
"Fine I swear on my mother's life that I will not tell anyone. But I should tell you now, I really don't like my mother."
"Ellie come on."
"I am just kidding. Now tell me, who did you kill." Ellie said sarcastically.
"I didn't kill anyone, but I think I'm starting to like Billie."
"Good for you... I like Billie too. It's not that big of a secret."
"No not that kind of like, like I am starting to have feelings for him."
"Like feelings or... you're just think you have feelings for him?"
"I do not know, all I know is I cannot stop thinking about him, and that is not a good thing. I was also thinking at one point that we could make better girlfriend and boyfriend then just friends."
"But what about Tre?"
"I know, I love him, but there is a good chance this me liking Billie thing will soon fly over, and I will start think of him as just a friend again. But what happens if that's not how it works out?" Krystal asked Ellie, as she parked the car.
"I don't know." Ellie got out of the car. "You think it'd get that bad."
"No, but there's always that what if."
"While for one, I don't think Billie would date you after you broke up with Tre. While I do not know if this is true, but number two I still think Billie looks at you as a friend, not a girlfriend, and three, I personally think you'll start looking at Billie as a friend again pretty soon."
"Yah I guess your right"
Krystal and Ellie walked around the park talking about everything and anything, before Krystal drove Ellie back home.
"So you swear you won't tell anyone?"
"Swear, but tell me when you get over this anytime soon."
"Yah I will thanks a lot for coming out with me."
"Sure. Talk to you later." Ellie got out of the car, and waved good-bye as Krystal made her way home.
A few weeks had passed and the phone calls from Dawna to Billie were starting to lesson, while fighting had became a more conman thing for Krystal and Tre.
"Hey your mother called you." Tre sat down beside Krystal.
"When?"
"About an hour or two ago. I think you were having a shower."
"Oh alright thanks for telling me." Krystal picked up the phone and dialed her parent's number.
"Hello?"
"Hi, dad is mom there. I heard she wanted to talk to me."
"Uh, hold on I'll see if she still does." Mr. Miller placed the phone down. "Honey Krystal on the phone do you still wanna talk to her."
"Krystal who? I never called her!"
"Yes you did, do you want to talk to your daughter or not?"
"No I don't want to, I told you I didn't call her!"
"Alright you don't have to talk to her, I'll tell her, just calm down."
"I'll calm you down!"
"Krystal honey I don't think she up to talking to you right now."
"I know I heard. Will she be ok?"
"Who your mother? Ya, I just have to calm her down and put her to bed."
"I know this may sound like I'm in denial, but is mom just in a bad mood today?"
"Ya, I guess you could say that, but Krystal she is really starting to forget and it is killing her inside."
"Ya?"
"While I am gonna let you go your mother needs some help. Love you bye."
"Bye." Krystal hung up the phone.
Tre And Krystal
"Did she talk to you?"
"No!"
"What happened?"
"She forgot, why didn't you tell me sooner!" Krystal was starting to feel overwhelmed with everything.
"I forgot I'm sorry."
"You had no reason to forget!"
"Krystal I'm sorry what else do you want me to say!"
"I don't think I should have to tell you what to say! I mean you can still remember how to do that yourself, right?"
"I know what you're dealing with must be hared, but... " Krystal cut Tre off.
"You know nothing!" Krystal hissed back at Tre."
"You know what, maybe your right. Maybe I do not know anything. But that's because you won't tell me anything! You keep everything locked up inside! How am I to help you if you don't tell me anything!"
"I don't know you... . you should just know!"
"I can't read your mind Krystal! But sometimes I wish I could, then I could at less understand you a little better!"
"Maybe there's a reason I don't open up, every think of that?"
Tre looked into Krystal dark brown eyes, noticing she was about to cry. "Yah, I have, but Krystal there should be no reason for that, we have been together for a long time now. I mean you know my hopes, my dreams and my fears, but I don't know yours."
"Why would you need to know that? Why do you need to know my fear, that's just a sign of weakness!"
"Krystal you do not always have to act strong, weakness is not a bad thing. It just proves you're human, like everyone else's. Fears keep us in line with the world."
"It's not that simple," Krystal began to cry.
"You know what I am trying to help and obviously, your not gonna try. I am sick of fighting with you! If this is all that lays ahead for use, you might as well leave now!"
"You want me to leave? You really want me to leave?" Krystal glared at Tre.
"Yah I guess so."
"Fine whatever makes you happy. But I'm taking the car!" Krystal got her shoes and jacket on, and opened the door.
Tre watched Krystal walk to the car, he really did not expect her to leave, until Krystal actually pulled the car out of the driveway.
"Where are you going?" Tre ran outside.
"Away from you!" Krystal pushed on the gas and drove away.
"God dame it!" Tre, wanted to go after her, but she would be long gone by the time he got a ride from Mike or a cab. So Tre went back inside and waited by the phone.
Billie's Door
"Who's is knocking at my door at this time? Better not be Dawna," Billie thought to himself while opening the door slowly to find a distort Krystal standing there.
"Are you ok, what's wrong?" Billie looked at Krystal.
"Tre and I had a big fight, he told me to leave!"
"Come in." Once Krystal came in, and Billie managed to clam her down a bit.
"Alright now can you tell me what happened?"
Krystal nodded her head and started to talk, gasping between words. "While I guess most of this is my entire fault, I shouldn't have got mad at Tre. It's just... "
"Just what?"
"I don't know anymore I'm upset about my mother, and I've had a lot on my mind lately." Krystal wiped the tears from her face.
"I can understand you being upset, but why would Tre kick you out?"
"He said he was sick of fighting with me."
"Sick of fighting? How long have you guys been fighting for?"
"About 2 weeks now."
"Ok?"
"Anyways, Tre said if we we're gonna keep fighting like we have been, I should leave, so I told him I was takin the car... "
"And?"
"I did, and now I'm here."
"I see that. So what's gonna happen with you guys... ." Krystal cut off Billie
"Billie I don't wanna break up with Tre I love him to much!" Krystal stated crying again and at that moment, Krystal knew she was over think that Billie and her could be more then friends. She was happy with the way things were going with them as friends, and this fight also made Krystal relies how much she loved Tre, and how she would never wanna leave him.
"Ok, I don't really think he wanted you to leave, I think Tre was trying to prove a point, and when he's mad they don't come out to while." Billie rubbed Krystal's back trying to calm her down again.
"Ya I guess."
"So how long ago did you leave?"
"An hour ago maybe two... "
"Do you think you should call Tre and tell him you're alright?"
"No. But I do think I should go talk to him."
"Alright, you gonna be ok to drive home?"
"Yah." Krystal got up, got her stuff on, before huggin Billie goodbye.
"Call me in the morning alright?"
"Sure, thanks for everything."
"No problem." Krystal smiled and ran out to the car trying not to get wet from the rain. Krystal pulled out of the driveway honking the horn. Once the car was out of sight Billie closed the door just in time to hear the phone ringing, when he picked it up he was surprise that it was Tre and not Dawna.
"Hey Billie, is Krystal there? We had a fight and she left."
"I know all about it, she's on her way home right now." Billie told Tre.
"Oh thank god, I thought she'd be half way to Mexico or something by now, she was really upset."
"Yah I know that too."
"Alright, while sorry to bother you."
"No problem."
"Ok, I think Krystal just pulled into the driveway. I'm gonna let you go bye." Tre hung up the phone and ran outside.
"Are you crazy why did you leave? I really didn't want you to go." Tre hugged Krystal.
"I left cause you didn't stop me." Krystal stared to cry.
"While I really didn't expect you to leave," Tre looked into Krystal eyes.
"I know, I'm sorry... it's just I... " Krystal wiped the tears from her eyes, and the rain that was fallin on her face.
"What?"
"I am scared; I am scared of everything. From things with my mother, to things that have happened with you and me." Krystal broke down and started to cry even more.
"I was scared when you left me I though you would never come back, and I'm really sorry about your mother, I should have told you sooner I'm sorry." Tre pushed Krystal wet blonde hair off her face, and gave her a kiss on the forehead.
"It's not your fault. I just wish I could leave everything behind, and just start all over again."
"Maybe so, but would you really like to take the easy way out? I know you well enough to say you wouldn't."
"Yah I guess your right." Krystal gave Tre a weak smile.
"Yah, now there's that smile I feel in love with." Tre hugged Krystal.
"Yah?"
"Yes, now come inside, I'm getting cold and it's starting to rain harder."
"I was thinking the same thing."
Once inside Krystal and Tre went upstairs, Krystal got change while Tre went for a shower. When Tre came back into the room Krystal wasn't there, so he went downstairs to find her in the kitchen sitting at the table with a tea in her hands.
"You ok."
"What, oh yah?" Krystal jumped when she hared Tre's voice.
"Are you coming to bed?"
"Yah after I finish my tea." Krystal voice sounded course from cry.
"Alright." Tre sat don beside Krystal. "I'll wait for you."
"You don't have to." Krystal looked at Tre, Tre could see how red Krystal's eyes were from crying.
"No, it's ok. I'll do the dishes." Tre walked over to the sink.
"Do you want me to wait for you?" Krystal asked putting the cup in the sink after she was done with her tea.
"No go lay down, I will be up soon." Krystal hugged Tre before leaving the kitchen. Krystal went upstairs and laid down in bed with the covers pulled up high. When Tre came into the room, he found the light on, and Krystal sleeping. Tre turned off the light and went to bed, waking up Krystal while moving the blankets.
"Tre?"
"Yes?"
"I'm sorry about today; I'll never run away again."
"It's all right, don't worry about I, I didn't help matters, I dissevered what I got. I did say something's I shouldn't have"
"No you didn't, and I need to hear it sooner or later." Krystal said half asleep. Tre was silent for a few minutes.
"You know I still love you, no matter how bad things get between us?"
"I know and I love you too." Krystal kissed Tre.
"Alright I just wanted to make sue you knew that."
"Mhmm." Krystal yawned. "I know you'll love me, I'm glade us fighting is over with."
"Me too." Krystal and Tre laid there in quiet for a little bit, before Krystal fell back asleep. Tre had said something to Krystal when he got no response he looked at Krystal to see that she had fallen asleep. Tre gave her a kiss on the forehead, before he fell asleep as well.
"Hello?"
"Hi Mike it's me Krystal, can I talk to Ellie?"
