At A Loss For Love (Sequel to How I Fell In Love), chapter 11
<p>I woke up to silence. Nobody was beside me. I rolled over to land in a pile of garbage. I was in my room. I looked at the ceiling. Billie Joe looked down at me. Not Billie Joe, a poster. I was in my house, the one with my family. I got up and got dressed.</p> <p>Uncomfortable with my surroundings. I turned to the kitchen and grabbed a banana, my breakfast. Looking up at the clock, I realized I had only 20 minutes to get ready for school. Dressing and doing my eyeliner quickly, I shoved my binder, journal and pencil case in my bag and ran down the stairs to go to school. Walking down the alley, I sighed. Another day in black and white. A day like any other. No matter how positive others try to be, it never works.</p>
<p>"Shit!" I said when I had realized I forgot to brush my hair. Oh well, who cares anyway? I went to my locker to grab my stuff, and the bell went. I went to advisory.</p>
"Hey," I looked up to see Eli standing above me,
"Hi,"
"So... um, you know how you like boarding, right?"
"Yeah?" I asked curiously,
"Well... I'm going boarding today... and..."
"And...?"
"Well.... I was wondering, if, you know, you wanted to come with?"
"I'd love to," my world was no longer black and white, it was better. Everything became technicolor, I was able to be happy...
Until I went home. It was all a dream. No Tre Cool. No Billie Joe. No Mike Dirnt.
I realize now, what life is.
It's all just a game, a dream, a figment of your imagination.
So basically that means life is whatever you make it.
Don't do what I did...
Make the best of your life.
