80 as in Adrienne Skye, chapter 8
As Anna entered the room she remembered the phone call she had made only hours ago.
*Cell Phone Call to England*
Anna: Hello? Is a Mr. BJ Armstrong there?
Tre: Billie, some chick is on the phone. She's looking for a Mr. BJ Armstrong. Do you know him?
Billie: Give me that Tre! Hello, who is this?
Anna: Billie, it's Anna.
Billie: Oh my God! What's up? I haven't heard from you in...
Anna: 16 years and 3 weeks. I never forget. It's Adrienne's conception date and it's not easy to forget that.
Billie: Adie? She's older then you and me. How would you-?
Anna: Not Adrienne your wife. Adrienne, as in my daughter. She's named after Adie, my best friend and your wife.
Billie: Awesome! So I take it you got married. Who's the lucky guy?
Anna: If I said his name it would only bring up bad memories. Second, Adie isn't his daughter. She's 16 now and I've only been married for about 2 years.
Billie: Since it has been 16 years and 3 weeks, what is up?
Anna: You remember the last night I saw you?
Billie: Of course. It was one of the best times in my life.
Anna: That's what I need to talk to you about. You see, Adie was the result of our final encounter. She's as stubborn as you, just like Nate.
Billie: As they say, like father, like son. But, Adie is...
Anna: Yea, Billie. Adie is your daughter. It seems both of your children are just like you and got nothing from me. Adie can even play the guitar. The only thing she'll play are the songs you wrote.
Billie: Anna, you call me after 16 years and instead of ' Hey BJ I'm in town. Let's go get a beer with the guys.' You call to say I have a 16 year daughter? Great birthday this is turning out to be.
Anna: I've been meaning to tell you since she was born. I wanted to tell you from the beginning, but I guess I was ashamed.
Billie: About what? Oh...Yea, your dad.
Anna: Yea, I finally got up the courage to tell you because Adie is going to find out sooner or later. With Nate around she'll know soon enough. How old are you going to be anyway?
Billie: Turning 34 and I still look good.
Anna: Your old! (laughing)
Billie: Hey, you're only a few days younger then me! If I'm old so are you! (lauging)
Anna: Just like the old days.
Billie: Yea, I remember those days and I miss them. And I bet that Adie does too. When am I going to get to see my beautiful daughter?
Anna: I miss those days too. I'm sure that once Adie finds out about you, we'll be on our way to visit you in no time. I have to go, Billie. It's late her and I need to get to sleep.
Billie: Wait one minute. I need your cell number. I'm not going to lose track of you again.
Anna: *reads out phone number* Bye, Billie. Tell the guys hi from me.
Billie: I will. And you'd better call me. If I don't here from you before the next 16 years, even if I have to get on a plane and come find you.
Anna: A plane? Where are you?
Billie: Finishing up the American Idiot tour in England. I'll tell you, it has great beer! Bye, Anna. I'll bring some of this beer next time I see you.
Anna: That would be great, Billie. Bye.
*End of Call*
