A Story Of A Girl, chapter 2

Tre was in the sink sleeping when I decided to get glass of water.

"Billie, Get Tre out of my damn sink", I said as Billie walked into the kitchen.

"Aww, Come on, He's sleeping", Billie whined.

I turned on the sink as Tre jumped out.

"Owww", Tre winced.

"You deserved it", I said.

We sat in silence until Joey called us on the phone crying and asking for me to pick him up.

"Billie, something is wrongwith the boys", I said as I got the car keys.

When we got to Adie's the boys were in the backyard hiding. I closed myeyes and froze everything, but the boys and I.

"What hapened", I asked.

They looked up. Joey had pure fear in his eyes. I wish I could forget when he pointed to Jakob who was laying on the ground in a puddle of blood. Words escaped my mouth that I'm sure were not real.

"Buli opper nusd liken", I mumbled in italian. "I mean What the hell happened"?

"Jakob came out after getting a spanking from John, and then John came out with a hammer and hit him in the head."

"Does Mommy know?"

Me and joey got in the car after I put Jakob in the car. I hadn't unfroze time yet to keep Jakob safe. We got to the hospital and then I noticed Joey was standing there in one spot not moving.
