A Different Kind of Love, chapter 8
Zach's stomach had foot marks and deep bruising scattered all over it, up his rib cages and grazes all along his side. There were deep finger nail bruising on his shoulder blade, and the ring of bruising around his wrist Billie had seen before. Zach looked ashamed of it, and was trying to avoid Billie's stares. Billie shook his head and began to rub dettol on Zach's grazes. Zach winced. Billie went to rub some oil on Zach's shoulder when he saw his back.
Zach's back was covered in belt marks, and a series of newly opened cuts from the abuse were bleeding lightly. Billie swallowed. Zach felt him hovering over his back and put his head on Billie Joe's shoulder.
"Its ok...it doesn't hurt now...not really..." Billie felt him whisper.
Billie bandaged Zach's back as best he could, and tried to relieve him of whatever pain he could on the way. By the time Billie Joe had bandaged Zach's swollen ankle and grazed knees, Zach collasped into Billie and passed out from exhaustion. Billie gently pulled Zach's shirt back on. Knowing he was finished to the best of his abilities, he placed an icepack on Zach's ankle, elevated it, and laid him to rest on the couch. Billie covered Zach with Mike's jacket and wrapped him in it, then stroked his head and slipped his hand out of Zachs, which Zach had been holding for comfort throughout Billie's aid. Billie made his way into the living room to find an angry Mike and a bored Tre, who was chewing on his drum sticks. Mike looked at Billie and shook his head.
