A Series Of Truely Unfortunate Events, chapter 4
It was Saturday and I was planning to sleep in as usual but do you think I got to... No. I was sleeping happily since I still had a hangover from last night, when Mary ran into my room.
"Katie, wake up now" Mary said shaking me. I was trying to ignore her hoping she would just go away. "Katie now, its Allie and it's really important" she said I could hear how desperate she was.
"Keep it down, I'm trying to sleep" mumbled Billie while pulling the covers over his head.
"Okay, okay I'm getting up" I said sliding out of bed. Mary pulled my arm into the bathroom and I saw Allie, she looked really confused and stressed out. "Allie honey, what's wrong"
"Nothing really, I just took a pregnancy test and its positive" I just stared at her for like five minutes before I said
"Allie, you have to tell Tre" she looked at me then nodded. She took a breath and walked out of the bathroom and into the guest bedroom where Tre was sleeping.
"Tre wake up... There is something I have to tell you" he turned his back to her trying to avoid having to wake up.
"Well... I guess I'll have to use your own trick on you" she went into the kitchen got some ice cubes and put them down his shirt.
"FUCK, I'm up I'm up" he screamed waking up.
"Tre... I'm pregnant" she looked at him and a tear rolled down her cheek.
"Wait" he said sitting up "Your crying, is the baby mine?"
"Yeah, of course it is" she looked at him laughing through her tears. I smacked him at the back of his head for even making that comment.
"No... I didn't mean it like that, it's just that Allie's crying and I think is good news" Tre was trying to explain to us now, but he gave up and hugged her. Mary and I decided to leave them alone. As I crept into my room, I saw Billie Joe sitting up.
"Oh good morning, I didn't know you were awake" I looked at him and he looked at me.
"Yeah well you guys are way too fucking loud" he said as I got onto the bed. "So Allie's pregnant?"
"Yeah she is" I answered
"That great news, I know Tre wanted kids" I smiled and started getting dressed. Billie Joe also got dressed and we headed downstairs for some breakfast.
Apparently the guys had a surprise for us too, they were going to start touring for Dookie and they wanted us to come along with them, since we had nothing better to do we decided to go. Ollie wasn't in favor of this but she said that it would be fine as long as we called her every week to tell her how it was going, so we agreed.
We were going to start touring soon and it was Billie Joe's birthday in three days, so after school Mary and Allie agreed to go gift shopping with me so that they could help me find the perfect gift for Billie Joe. "I want to go in that store" yelled Mary.
"Ok, we can go in there but just hold on a sec I have to go to the bathroom" I said handing my bags to Mary while I rushed to the bathroom and threw up into the toilet. When I came out Allie gave me a very suspicious look. "What?" I asked trying to get Allie to stop giving me that look.
"You're pregnant" she answered smiling
"No I'm not" I said defensively.
"Ok, on our way home we'll pick up a pregnancy test and then you can prove it" she was still smiling
"Ok we'll do that, but just so that I can prove you wrong" she nodded her head and walked out of the bathroom where Mary was waiting for us.
We went into the store that Mary had been dying to go into; they had some really nice clothes. I bought a short black dress that fit me perfectly. Mary and Allie also picked out dresses that fit them perfectly. I didn't know when we were going to wear them but they were really nice so we bought them anyway.
