Bitter Sweet Migraine, chapter 3
So about a week after they had moved into the 'rat hole' (as my sister and I referred to it as) I finally decided to take a look around the town. It was about 7:00 and my mom was out with her 'girlfriends' and my dad was out drinking. So I decided to walk around the town. I took a glance at the name of the town and it was apparently called Berkeley.
As I walked down the street I noticed a crowded building and I could hear music. And as I looked inside I saw an awesome band playing. The drummer had a wild expression on his face and he didn't look like he could stop. Then there was the bass player.
He didn't look so much as wild as he did fierve and with every note he played he delivered a hard stare into the crowd. Then there was the lead singer. He was seemed to be a mix of the other two members of the band. He had long hair and seemed enjoying seeing the crowd jumping up and down. Then I met his eyes. He stared at me, all the while still singing, and then he turned his focus back to his song.
About a half hour later the show was over and the place was closing up. The entire band was all sitting at a table, all with a beer in their hand. Then the lead singer looked up at me again, and I was at the same place I had been the whole time, at the door. He invited me over and offered me one.
Then he turned to me and said, "So what's you think of the show?" and I replied after taking another quick swig, "Awesome. You really seemed to be enjoying playing." and he quickly again replied, "Hell yeah. It's a real thrill just to see people enjoying our music," he said with a wide smile on his face.
"By the way I'm Billie." then he gestured to the man playing the bass and said, "This is Mike, and..." but before he could finish his sentence the drummer quickly cut in, "And I'm John."
