Above My Head., chapter 1

Never really cared for clothes. Girls just get to obsessed with them. I scuffed my green Converse on the shiny tile and left a dark smudgey mark. I smiled. I looked at the people around me as they rushed here and there. I hate the mall. Everything is so shiny and new. So many people scurrying. Then something caught my eye.

A black and white Fender was calling my name. It cost 200 bucks though. I sighed and walked on. Nothing ever happens in the stupid mall. It's just a enermous building housing all these stores. People keep on bumping into me but I didn't give a freak.

"Victoria!" My mom yelled." Come here! I found some clothes on sale!" I glared at her, then rolled my eyes as I went to her. She dragged me to this rack filled with pink, purple, and yellow colored clothes. The colors I hate. I mimed vommiting as she searched for my future clothes. She just doesn't get that I am old enough to pick out my clothes. I like jeans not some frilly skirts.

"Mom, can't you just buy some green, black, or blue shirts and some jeans?" I asked.

She sighed." Oh all right, but you at least have to get a nice dress." I groaned but agreed.

After thirty minutes of clothing shopping, I headed to the music store. I always went there and spent hours looking at the pianos and other instruments they had. The guitar and piano were my favourites but I did like the sound of the harmonica, accordion, and drums. I went directly to the pianos, sat on the bench and began to play.

"Hello there, Victoria." Mr. Pendle greeted me." I didn't see you come in." I tuned around and saw a skinny old man with a jolly grin on his face.

"Oh! Hi Mr. P!" I said in shock." I hope you don't mind that I'm playing."

"Oh no. It's quite all right." He chuckled. He walked away and I began playing again. I loved the way the cool piano keys felt as I pressed my fingers on them. I shut my eyes and imagined the music coming to life. Then I heard somebody accompaning me on anther piano. I opened my eyes and saw a brown haired guy playing the piano next to me.

"You're quite a player." The guy commented.

"Thanks. You too." I said.

He extended his hand. "My name's Billie Joe." He said." But you can call me Billie."

I took a hold of his hand and shook it. "My name is Victoria. It's nice to meet you Billie." He smiled.

"Same here." He said.

After our little introduction, we talked about music and told each other about ourselves. He was really nice and the most interesting person I had a coversation with. The my mom called me.
