Anthem Of The Streets, chapter 1

"The streets are my home.
They are the streets of sin.
The streets of pain and love.
No one is safe when there is no guard.
My heart's broken shard,
Rests in the streets, where I sleep."

As I sat in class thinking of these words I suddenly realized my teacher standing right behind me breathing down my neck. "Mr. Jones, what may I ask are you doing?" and before I could do anything he snatched up my notebook.

"Oh," he said in a cruel voice, "I didn't realize we had a poet in the room." Then he repeated the lines off of my notebook in a cruel mocking voice. But as I listened to his voice mocking the very verse I had poured my heart into my mind boiled over in rage, I couldn't stand it. So as he uttered the last word I turned around and realized my classmates were all laughing.

That is except for my friend Claire. We had been friends since before I could remember. She looked around the room with a look of slight anger and disgust at my classmates.

But as I looked at all their abusive faces I couldn't take it any more. I grabbed the nearest thing I could, a black and green binder, and threw it at my teacher. It hit him right in the nose and his knees curled in and his face immediately went up to his nose and I realized it was bleeding heavily.

And as soon as I saw this i grabbed my notebook from the floor and ran out of the door. I ran through the halls and slammed through the doors. I ran across the street and and kept running until I finally reached my house. As I ran in I heard the door slam behind me as I hurried down to the basement, and into my room. There I sat on my bed and picked up my notebook and wrote down all my thoughts and feelings. I transmitted my rage into a song.

That was the beginning of the future..
