Twins, chapter 1
I looked up and sighed. Another day, another fight with Sarah. I sighed again and got up.
"Oh, my god," I said to myself,
"Have you gotten ugly? Or uglier?" My name is Tyler, I sighed and put on my black eyeliner. I have always had low self-esteem, unlike Sarah, my twin sister. I looked at my blank poster, the one that hung above my bed. Sarah loved black, only because I did. She copied everything I did, making it cool. I looked in the mirror, brushing my black hair. I had dyed it black, it was naturally dark brown. My eyes a deep blue. I was pale, and not very thin. I looked around my messy room for my HIM t-shirt. I put it on and found my baggy black pants. The only pair of pants I wore. Funny story, my parent's thought I was gonna be a boy so they named me Tyler ahead of time. I turned out to be a girl. I love my name, it makes my different,
"Ty, come downstairs, breakfast is ready," I heard my mom call,
"I don't want breakfast," I screamed,
"Fine, just don't be late for school again,"
School. What's the point of school? 'School is practice, and practice makes perfect, and nobody's perfect, so why go to school?' I heard that somewhere... I can't remember where,
"Bye mom, goin to school," I yelled from my window sill,
"Okay sweetie, have a nice day at school. And please, try not to get in trouble. Be good like your sister," God I hate it when she does that. I braced myself and hopped into the oak tree right outside my window. I climbed down and walked towards 'the bridge.'

"Hay, Ty, whatzup?"
"Hey, Bek, mom wants me to be like Sarah," I could smell alcohol,
"Bek, have you been drinking again?"
"Uhh.... noo,"
"Well, then you won't get to ransack Sarah's room if your lying,"
"Okay, maybe a little bit, but Brad drove me to it,"
"S'alright, just no more booze, k?"
"K,"
"So how's about a joint?"
"Sounds good to me,"
"Ahaha, not now... after school,"
"Fine," she sighed and we started on our way to school. As we neared the school, I began to feel sick. Another day, another class of Math,
"Euugghhh," I shuddered,
"Think bout Mr. Laneley again?"
"Yeah... eugh," Bek laughed. I wondered how I got such a weird friend,
"Hey, Ty... did you know we have a dance?"
"I don't dance." I said coldly,
"Not even for Billie Joe?"
"Well..." I gave it some thought, "Okay, for Billie Joe," I heard the bell go and I slowly walked to my first class,
"You're late," said Miss Kerchu,
"Yeah, so?" I said defensively,
"Out in the hall, NOW!"
"Ugh, stuupid bitch," I muttered and stood in the hall. I waited for a few minutes, then the teacher came out,
"Why are you late?"
"I dunno,"
"Alright, you can come in now," I walked into the humanities room. Everyone looked up at me from their text books. Including Billie Joe, the guy I had a crush on. He smiled at me, and I think I blushed, which is pretty noticeable on my pale skin. After class I got bored so I decided to skip, knowing French will do me no good. I walked outside, Sarah giving me a bad look as I did and I laughed to myself. I sat outside, in the little 'hole' that was worn in by skippers. There were three other people in the nook. To my surprise, I heard Billie Joe say,
"Don't like French, huh?"
"Naw, stupid and I wont need it,"
"That's what I said," he gestured to the two other figures in the darkness,
"This is Mike and Frank,"
"Hay," said Frank,
"You call me Tre, Tre Cool,"
"Somebody likes French," I muttered,
"Naw, just like the name," I looked at Mike, who hadn't said a word,
"Hey you wanna ditch this whirlwind of lies and grab a bite?" I asked,
"Sure,"
"Kewl, on me," we 'stealthily' left the school grounds and walked down the boulevard to the burger place,
"Okay," I said, " I got 20 bucks," we ordered some food and sat in a booth,
"Did your ears yourself?" asked Tre,
"Yeah, I guess I like pain. I'm like the opposite of algophobia,"
"Kewl, I did my ears a while back," said Billie Joe,
"Nice," after we were done eating we walked out of the burger place, not even bothering to pay,
"So what are you gonna do now?" asked Tre,
"Well, I can't go ho-..."
"You can come with us!"
"I... sure, yeah,"
"Kewl, follow us," I followed the three to a beat up old shack on Gilman street. I looked around to see a drum set and two cases, an electric guitar case and a bass,
"You're in a band?"
"Yeah, we're Green Day," said Billie Joe,
"Kewl, so can I hear you play?"
"Sure! Guys, we're playin,"
"Looking back upon my life
And the places that I've been
Pictures, faces, girls I loved
I try to remember
Faded memories on the wall
Some names I have forgotten
But each one is a memory I
Look back on so often," they stopped playing,
"Wow, you guys are good,"
"Thanks, we practice, like everyday,"
"Nice,"
"Hey, your the twin, right?" I finally heard Mike talk,
"Yeah..."
"Your sister sucks,"
"Oh my god! Somebody who agrees with me!"
"Yeah, you are way better," Billie Joe said,
"Wow. Nobody's ever said that before..." I smiled, tears forming in my eyes...
