Is It Harder?, chapter 15
Tre and I got home and I helped him climb the stairs and into bed. I got into bed beside Tre and put my arm protectively around him. He cried into my shirt. I had done that before to him and now he was doing it to me. I woke up the next morning and Tre was already up and trying to pull on his pants. I giggled as he pouted and I helped him get them on. "Thank you Brooke." He said and kissed me. So the weeks passed and soon it was the morning of August 14th. My wedding day.
"Oh my gosh. I am so frickin nervous!" I complained to Adrienne and Jess. They laughed. Adrienne had become good friends with Jess and I over the last few weeks and she was one of my bridesmaids along with Jess and Claudia, who wasn't exactly a good friend, but I couldn't find anyone else. "Brooke, you are marrying the man you love. The man you have loved since you were seven." Said Jess. I nodded and let out a nervous giggle. They were helping me adjust my dress which was a beautiful but simple white gown that flowed freely around my legs. We finished getting ready and it was time for me to go. Adrienne and Jess left. I breathed deeply for five minutes and walked down the aisle. I looked up nervously at Tre who was standing in a white tuxedo looking equally as nervous. His face broke into a wide grin as I stepped up beside him. "You look gorgeous." He whispered to me as the priest was talking. I smiled at him as we exchanged our vows. "Do you, Frank Edwin Wright the Third take Brooke Nicole Wood to be your lawfully wedded wife to love and to hold through sickness and health?"
"I do."
"And, do you, Brooke Nicole Wood, take Frank Edwin Wright the Third to be your lawfully wedded husband to love and to hold through sickness and health?"
"I do."
"By the power invested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."
Tre grinned broadly and leaned over to kiss me. I smiled before our lips met. We kissed and then it had ended. After we finished all the wedding festivities and drove away in a new green mustang to our house. We were going to plan a honeymoon in Hawaii, but not now. Maybe in a few months when the guys wouldn't be as busy. We got home and ran upstairs to rip off each others clothes. We went at it for a long time and soon we fell asleep with our arms holding each other tightly. I woke up in the middle of the night frightened. I had had a bad nightmare. "Tre!" I yelled worriedly. Tre sat up straight and put his arms around me. "What baby?" he asked softly. "I had such a bad dream. You, you died." I whispered. Tre nuzzled my hair and whispered in my ear. "Don't worry my love, I love you and I will always be here for you." He said as he caressed my back. And I knew he meant it. He would never be unfaithful to me or hurt me any possible way. He was the greatest person I knew.
