Is It Harder?, chapter 5
Brooke's POV
"Hey! It's Mike and Cass! Two lovebirds!" Cass glared at me and they sat down and dove into the food like the rest of us. "So what are you guys doing up?" asked Mike while chewing which resulted in a nasty sight. "Well, me and Tre haven't even gone to bed yet." I said. "And, neither has Jess and Billie Joe from the um, way they were 'sleeping.'" Jess glared at me but I laughed it off. "So you and Tre were playing stupid video games all night?" asked Cass. Both Tre and I spit our root beer out. "Video games are not stupid!" we shouted at Cass. "Whoa, okay whatever." She said pretending to be majorly offended. So we all stayed up all night talking about random stuff and drinking root beer and eating peanut butter. When morning came, everyone was as cheery and awake as if they had 20 hours sleep instead of none.
Cass's POV
"Mike. Should we tell them now?" I asked Mike in his room beside the den were everyone else was. "Okay babe." He said. Mike and I left the room to the den were I asked everyone to look at us. Everybody did. "Okay, well Mike and I have decided to live together." Said Cass. "We're going to get all my stuff from my house today and Mike's bought a house here in Vancouver." I said gleefully. I looked at everyone's reactions.
Jess's POV.
"Wow! That's great Cass!" I said to her excitedly.
Tre's POV.
"Hey that's great Mike and Cass! Congrats!" I said to them before pecking Brooke on the cheek.
Billie Joe's POV
"Yeah! That's awesome!" I said to them happy that they found each other.
Brooke's POV.
"Very cool guys!" I said. Everyone settled down after Mike and Cass told the news. Billie and Jess had gone off somewhere. "Hey, Brookey, can I talk to you for a sec?" Tre asked me. "Sure." I followed him outside on the deck. "So, that's great that Cass and Mike are moving in together eh?" asked Tre. "Yeah I'm really happy for them." I said. "So, um, I was wondering if you wanted to move in with me? I could buy a house up here too like Mike." He said. Oh my gosh!!! Yes!!!! "Yes Tre! Of course!" I said ecstatic. "Great! I will make some phone calls for a house." He said ad left after kissing me. I went back inside and Jess and Billie were back. "Guess what?!" Jess asked me. "What?!" I asked. "Me and Billie Joe are moving in together!" she said happily. "Yes! Me and Tre too!" I said. "Ahhhh!!" we screamed like little girls. Cass joined in too. Soon we were jumping around the den in each other's arms. The guys stared at us like we were crazy. Tre came back in. "Well, it's all settled. We are now living in Vancouver. And best of all we are all beside each other!" said Tre. Once again all the girls screamed of joy but this time the guys joined in too. "We've got to get our stuff." I said once everyone calmed down. "Okay." Said the guys. We took a limo to mine and Jess's house with Tre and Billie Joe and Cass and Mike went to her house. Jess and I went up to our rooms and took out everything that we wanted to keep. By the end of it my room was bare except for my old wood bed. Tree and I went downstairs to the kitchen to find Billie and Jess making out. "Ewe. Get a room. Or at least do it somewhere where we cant see you." Said Tree. "That's why we're moving in together. So we can do it all the time." Said Jess giggling. I laughed and took a seat next to Jess. "Riiiiiiiiiiiiiing. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing." The doorbell rang. "Dammit." I said. I got up and opened the door. "Brooke? Brooke Wood? Is that you?" said the girl. "Umm..Yeah." I said cautiously. "It's Madison! Madison Smith!" she screamed. "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh! Madison! I haven't seen you in ages!" I screamed. The tears were coming now. Madison had been my best friend from when we were 5-14. She had to move away to Winachi though in grade nine. We hugged each other so tight our arms hurt. "Come in." I said to her and lead her to the kitchen. "Is-is that-TRE COOL AND BILLIE JOE ARMSTRONG?!" she screamed the last part. I laughed and nodded. "Yup." For the longest time we had pretended that Tre was my boyfriend and Mike was hers. We would even write notes to each other saying that it was from them. Later Cass did the same with us but her 'boyfriend' was Billie Joe. "Where's Mike?" asked Maddy. Oh crap. How am I gonna tell her? She has loved mike for the longest time. "Oh, um, well you remember Cass right?" I asked. Madison's face broke into a wide grin. "Yeah! I remember Cass!" she said. "Okay. Well her and Mike are going out, and they are getting her stuff to move in together. That's what we're all doing too." I said. Madison's smile disappeared. "Oh." She said quietly. "Yeah." I said and looked down at the floor. Tre came over and out his arm around my shoulder. Oh how I loved him. He always knew when to make me feel better. "So, what are you doing here Maddy?" I asked. Maddy blushed and stuttered an answer. "I um, I lost my job then my boyfriend, and my parents kicked me out. So I just wanted to visit you." "Aww, man, Maddy I'm so sorry. You can stay with me and Tre." I said. Tre elbowed me but I ignored it. "Yeah. I would always help you out. I love ya." Maddy started crying, "Oh Brooke! Thank you so much!" "No problema." I said. "Well we best be off." Said Billie Joe who w had already loaded all of our stuff into the awaiting limo outside. "Good-bye house." I said to the house and followed everyone else into the limo. It was a long drive to our new homes and Maddy made it even weirder by non-stop drooling over Mike all the way there and getting disapproved looks from Cass. Finally we reached our houses. Billie Joe and Jess's house was on the right to mine and Tre's and Mike and Cass's was on our left. I entered our new house with Tre holding my hand and Maddy behind us. "Wow." We all said at once. It was a really nice house. It wasn't a huge mansion or anything. Just a bigger than normal home. It was modern but in one room that was like a 50s bar. Me and Tre picked looked in the master bedroom. It was beautiful. Then we showed Maddy where she would be staying.
Maddy's POV
Wow. Brooke is so lucky. I wonder how long her and Tre will let me stay here. I looked over to my left out the window right through to Mike and Cass's bathroom. Oh my gosh. Mike is in there. Taking his clothes off. Oh shit! He just saw me!
