Tell Me That I Won't Feel A Thing, chapter 1

After a long and painful weekend, alone and boyfriendless, I'm still depressed. We were so close and it was hard letting go. He was my best friend. Now he's just the guy looking at the Green Day from the doorway. I don't want to see his face ever again. Our relationship's over, I just have to understand it.

"Hi Mike. "
"Hey Tess. How're you doing?"
How am I doing?!? What's wrong with you?
"I'm fine thanks. "
"That's good. "
"Okay, see you around."

That was awkward...

At lunch:

Tess walked over to the lunch table. All her friends were there. Nadine, Sammy, Theresa "Tre", and Frances.
"Hey Tess!" Nadine yelled. " How's the science going?"
"Hmmm...?" she was too enveloped in her sandwich " Oh yeah it's great."
"What's new?" Tre asked.
"Well... My boyfriend dumped me and I cried all weekend."
Sammy spat her milk everywhere. " You broke up!"
"Yeah I did. If you paid more attention to your email you'd know."
Nadine turned to comfort her. " Well... Now there's more time for Kevin..."
"KEVIN! I just broke up with my boyfriend and all you can think about is KEVIN?" With that she ran into the bathroom as huge tears ran down her face.
