Tell Me That I Won't Feel A Thing, chapter 8
<p>Kevin looked at her.<br />"Tre was HERE!! In Nadie's house!!!" Tess put away her plate.<br />"No. I was surprised! You scared me!" Kevin nodded.<br /> " Then there was no Tre... OK I'm fine with that."<br />Tess nodded, but inside she was nervous.</p>
* At the Party*
<p> Tess walked outside in a black party dress. Her face was slightly wet, like she had been crying. She saw Kate singing along to Blood, Sex and Booze, Nadine dancing on the makeshift dancefloor in the middle of the yard and Kevin and Jake talking about the new band plans. She sat on a plastic yard chair and put her head in her hands. Nadine walked over, panting.<br />"Tess, what's up? You look like it's raining on Sunday!" Tess poked her head out. <br />"Mike.... I mi-" She started bawling like a little kid with its finger stuck in a door.<br />Nadie caught the vibe. <br />"Oh... you miss Mike." This wasn't like Tess. " What happened?"<br />Tess tried but she couldn't. <br />" He's gone......" More sobs. Nadie looked hard at her.<br />"You mean like left?" Tess shook her head no.<br />"Dea-" She couldn't finish. Kevin walked over.<br />"Tess, what's wrong?" Nadie looked at him and mouthed 'Mike- dead'. Kevin stared.<br />
" No way! You kidding?" Nadie shook her head. Kevin took Tess's hand.<br />
" Sweetheart, I'll take you to Nadie's room OK?" Tess didn't say anything. She just let the tears fall from her eyes.</p>
* Half hour later,*
<p>Nadie walked up to her room. Thinking about what happened. She opened her door. Tess was asleep on Kevin's shoulder. Kevin was awake, but looked absolutely miserable.</p>
* At the Party*
