College Years With Tre Cool, chapter 1
Slowly, carrying the load of books in front of me that I needed for a major exam, up the stairs I heard laughing from the other end of the hallway. Of course it was Jess and her gang who for some reason never did like me nor ever take the time to get to no me. It didn't really bother me, Its not like I wanted to be part of the "in" crowd. I just wanted to get through my last few years of college without any conflict between anyone even tho Jess was always finding a way to make it a lot harder then it had to be. I went back into my room and got ready for a long night of studying.
A few hours later I had read and skipped through almost every one of my books. It was around 6 when I heard a knock on my door.
"Hello Julie" said one of my Professors.
"Hey Professor Carl, How can I help you?"
"Umm Julie we have a new student on campus and since your so familiar with the school I was wondering if you could just show him around?"
Even though all I wanted to do was to be left alone to study and not waste any of my time showing someone how to get from place to place, I mean its not that big of a school and its not that hard. I decided I better not let one of hardest professors down so I agreed.
Plus Im a nice person and I guess taking a few mintues to show someone around wouldn't be to painful.
"Sure" I said in a quiet voice.
"Excellent the student will be waiting for you in about 5 minutes in the main lobby."
"Great," I said sarcastically but not like he noticed.
I went back into my room to put on some clothes since I had been in my pj's for the last 4 hours and then I headed down for the lobby.
"Ah here she is," my professor almost yelled as he seen me walking down the stairs towards them.
"Hi" I said walking towards them
"This is Tre Cool."
We shook hands and were gracefully introduced to each other.
"Okay now Julie's just going to show you around Tre and then she will show you were your room is okay?"
"Alright" exclaimed Tre.
My teacher walked away and I grabbed Tre's hand and told him to follow me quickly.
"Woah, what's the rush?"
"I have a lot of studying left to do so I have to show you around as fast as I can."
"But if we go past places to fast I wont be able to remember where everything is," Tre wined.
"Too bad. Get someone else to help you who isnt about to have a major test."
As we went through half the school we started to slow down and talk more. I dont no why I was actually wasting my time with this guy even tho he was sorta cute but I didn't have the time for a boyfriend and god only knew that he had a girlfriend anyways. I tried to get back onto the topic of where we were in the school.
"Yeah and this is the cafeteria."
"That's nice."
"Tre you wanted me to show you around but your not even paying attention so im just gonna show you your room and go back to studying."
"No! I'm paying attention but I just want to talk about us more."
I didn't no what he meant by 'us' but I guess it would be okay to tell him a little bit about me since he had already spilled about pretty much his whole life story.
"Do you always tell every new person you meet about all your personal info or I am I just the lucky one?"
"Nope I don't but whoever wants to listen i'll pretty much tell anything to."
It started to rain and by that time we were on the topic of music.
"YAY! Its raining outside, care to go for a run?"
"What?! Now, I don't think so."
"Oh c'mon. It'll be fun"
And the next thing I no, Tre's outside spining around in circles soaking wet.
"Get back in here!" I yelled
"No way! You come out here. God dont be so uptight. Come out here with me, It's fun!"
"I'd rather not"
As Tre came running back up to me all soaking wet. I thought he had finally come to his sences.
"Have fun?" I asked.
"Yes but it would be a lot funner if you would just come out with me. Please just live a little."
"No.."
Then, out of nowhere he hugged me!
"AH, Get off me Tre your all wet!"
"Mowhaha Oh well now that your wet you might as well come out here with me."
And with that said, he grabbed my hand and pulled me outside. We started running around and dancing. The only time I had ever been in this school after 3 years and I was actually enjoying myself.
"See! Isnt this fun Julie?"
"Yes I sapose"
Then we stopped running around and he came closer to me. Soon after I realized we were slow dancing, in the middle of the field outside, with no music and the rain falling down on us even harder. I didn't no what was happening. It was too much for me to think about at that time. I'd never felt like this before and if I did, never this fast. Suddenly it was too much for me to handle and I had to let go.
"Whats wrong?" Tre asked.
"I don't no, I ..I just have to go now"
I went to turn and leave but he grabbed ahold of my arm and kissed me! I didn't no what to do or say or think. I didn't even no this guy for more then 2 hours and we were already kissing each other. I pulled away suddenly.
"What just happend?" I asked.
"We kissed"
"Why?"
"Who no's. Splurge of the moment I guess." he said laughing.
I didn't no why this was funny to him. We barely knew each other so I just asumed he did these sort of things a lot.
"So I guess your used to dragging girls around in the rain and kissing them for no reason?"
"Well..Not really. Actually your the first girl that I've ever done that with."
"So what does this mean? Do you like me? Do I like you?"
"Maybe."
"So thats it?"
"Don't worry. A kiss is just a kiss."
He said it like he didn't even care what happend at all. I was so ..mad at this point.
"I don't no where you come from but you cant just kiss someone like that and feel nothing!"
"I'm sorry. I don't no if i feel anything for you yet lol I mean its only been like 2 hours."
At that point I was totally shocked and sorta hurt ..I didn't even no why. I was sure I couldn't let myself like someone that fast.
"Well I'm going.. Heres the number to your room. Im sure you can find everything on your own."
"Julie wait."
But by that time I had left, headed back for my room.
- The Next Day -
My alarm woke me up at the regular time I always get up. 7:00. I had gotten used to my daily rutine but today I was really tired and still thinking about Tre. All last night I couldn't stop thinking about him. The way his eyes looked that time he pulled me in to dance with him. I hated him so much right now but I couldn't stop thinking about him. After getting ready for my first class I thought it was stupid that I was letting this get to me. In a way I guess I shouldn't be freaking about it as much as I was. I mean he didn't mean anything to me. I hardly knew him and it was just a kiss ...like he said.
"Hey," said Tre as he came up behide me.
"Hi."
"What are you still mad about last night?"
"No Tre. I doesn't even matter. Now leave me alone, I'm going to class."
"Julie wait for a second. I have to tell you something."
"Not right now Tre. If its that important, find me after class."
- Around Lunch -
"Can I take you out for something to eat?" Tre said slowly sitting down next to me.
"Honestly Tre I just wanna forget about you. Last night was just a little tour."
"Oh I think it was more then that."
"Obviously not from what you said."
"I like you Julie okay? God. You think I just do that to any random girl? No."
"Then I guess we can go out later tonight."
"You mean, like a date?"
"Whatever I guess so."
"WOOOT. I'll come for you at like 8, be ready. Cya then."
"Bye."
- 7:30 -
I had no idea why I agreed to going out on a date with Tre ..Maybe I actually did like him but it wasn't like me to be like this. I had been doing just fine with my work and studying all along for 2 years without being easily distracted but there was something about Tre I couldn't figure out. I was getting ready and I realized I had no idea where we were going so I didn't no exactly what to wear. I ended up with kapris and a t-shirt. I let my hair down and wore a little bit of make up. I never dress up but I guess tonight was a special occasion. Not like I ever go out anywheres. Then I heard a knock on my door.
"Hey Tre."
"Hey Julie, You look.."
"Different?" I asked.
"Yea, you look really nice and you dressed good for what were doing tonight." he said with a cute smile.
"That reminds me. What are we doing?"
"You'll see. Lets go."
I walked out to see a little car out in the parking lot.
"Hop in" he said opening the door for me.
"Oh acting all gentleman tonight are we?"
"I try."
"Okay close your eyes Julie, were almost there."
"Okay I said closing my eyes."
The car came to a stop and he helped me out of the car. He placed his hand over my eyes and walked me down what felt like little stairs.
"Where are we Tre?"
"Okay hang on. Not yet. Alright. Open your eyes."
I slowly opened my eyes to see we were next to one of the beautifulest beaches with white sand and clear ice blue water I had ever seen. I had no idea he was planing this, it was sorta late and the sun was setting.
"Tre. This is beautiful."
"Yeah I thought you'd like it, C'mon do you wanna walk with me?"
"Of course," I said laughing.
"So why do you try so hard in college? your obvisously smart enough to get good grades."
"I just want to be happy when I get older and I need to have a good job."
"But you don't have a boyfriend, so who would you live with?" He grinned.
"I would try to find one after I actually got a house."
"You no what I think?"
"What?"
"I think you try way to hard and I don't believe you."
"What don't you believe?"
"Everything. I mean your in college. Your gonna get a good job and you don't need to try as hard as you do."
"Maybe so but trying as hard as I do has gotten me where I am now."
"Your not happy now tho. Or at least you wern't before I showed up."
"How do you no?"
"C'mon it's not that hard to tell your miserable. You don't have any friends, all you do is stay in your room and study, you don't go out and you won't try anything. There's lot's of reasons."
As much as I wanted to disagree I couldn't. I was surprised. He knew me so well after so little time. Then I just had to tell him everything I was feeling.
"Tre, I have to be honest with you."
"Sure go ahead."
"I like you a lot! and I don't no where all these emotions are comming from. Maybe it's 'cause you just no me even tho you don't really, if that makes any sense."
I could feel myself going on and on rambleing until he kissed me again! This time it lasted much longer. I felt so close to him and I slowy put my arms around his neck and he put his hands around my waist. It was perfect. We were on the beach, in the sunset and it just felt so right...
"Julie.. I think I love you."
"Tre.. It's only been like 2 days. How can you love me?"
"Do you love me?"
"What? No ...I erm... I like you .. a lot."
"You love me. I no it. C'mon just say it Julie because I love you."
By this time we were sitting down in the sand holding hands and he kept saying you love me I no it.. I went to get up when he pulled me down and we started kissing ..I felt like one with him and I wanted to be with him..
"Julie. Do you want to go out? Like girlfriend, boyfriend kinda thing?"
"Umm... Yes?"
"Okay lets go its getting dark."
"Tre..wait"
"What is it?"
"I ..Love you"
