Without A Bass Player, chapter 4
Nothing could change Billie's happy demeanor, not even the fact that Mike was going to invite Ginger to the gig as soon as he heard the great news.
All Billie did was sing to the top of his lungs, "We're playing at Gilman! We're playing at Gilman! We're playing at Gilman!" In such a child like manner.
When Mike finally escaped the shouting of Billie's song, he went upstairs and called Ginger.
"Hello?" Mrs. Knowles answered the phone.
"Hi, can I speak to Ginger" Mike asked as politely as he could.
"May I ask who's calling?" Mrs. Knowles asked rudely as she noticed it was a boy calling.
"Mike." Mike replied.
"Mike who?!" She snapped.
"Uh, Mike Pritchard, I live down the street from you."
"Oh, just one second."
"Hello?" Ginger said into the phone.
"Hey Ginger! Its me, Mike."
"Hey Mike, sorry about my mom, she's really psycho." Ginger appologized.
"Oh its cool, I know how parents are."
"Yeah, don't talk to her." Ginger said laughing to herself.
"Um Okay. So anywho, I called to ask if you wanted to go around town today? And I'll show you all the cool places."
"Oh sure! That would be really awesome. I've got nothing better to do anyways. Just let me tell my mom where I'm going, and um... I need to change too. I'll be over in like, um twenty minutes." Ginger replied excited.
"Okay, see you then! Bye!" Mike said, just as excited.
"Bye!"

"Ginny's on her way over." Mike said joyously.
"Ginny?" Billie asked disgusted.
"Yeah, Ginger."
"When did you start calling her 'Ginny'?
"I like it, it suits her."
"Um no. I think 'Bitch' suits her better."
"Shut the fuck up Billie, no one asked you!" Mike shouted as he stomped out of the room.
"I'm warning you Mike! That damn whore is going to burn you!" Billie concluded.
