American Idiot, chapter 1

God. You know, sometimes, you just cant help but wanting to scream. Maybe more than scream. All of these people that surround you everyday of you life that are to caught up in the media to realize the real world. Everyone, my mom, Brad, my step-dad, all of the people at school. Not that I'm there much anyways. But, and the other countries that have to deal with America. They think that everyone who represents America is a freakin redneck. Well, I've got news for them. I'm not like that! I'm not part of a redneck agenda. God. Jesus H. Christ.
Anyways, I was walking around, I really had nothing to do. I mean, come on. It was Friday night. I sure don't want to stay around that place I call home. Nothin' to do there anyways. So I walked down to the 7-11. I figured maybe I'd see some of my "acquaintances" there. Maybe. Sure enough, I got down there and there was my girl friend, and some guys I recently met. So, I walked over.
"Hi! Like, I didn't expect to see you around this place!" She said. She had a brown paper bag in her hand. She didn't look like she was all there. She was kinda swaying back and fourth when she stood. Her speech was kinda slurred.
"Yah, I didn't expect you either." one guy said. He didn't sound to friendly.
I figured, maybe I should take my girlfriend and walk down to the little place where we hang out. It's not that I was scared of him, he was just taller than me, that's all.
I walked over to her. "You wanna go see a movie? Or you wanna go hang out somewhere else?"
"Hmmm... ... I don't know-several uncalled for giggles- What do you mean by 'hang out'?" her voice was high and squeaky. She was tipsy.
"Um... hangout... as in... .Go to my house and just... .like... play video games or something like that... "my voice trailed off.
She giggled. "He he... sure!" She staggered over to me, put her head on my shoulder, and just stood still. A minute later, she was asleep.
"Crap. Great timing... Hey, wake up... ." I patted her face gently. She had a very pretty face.
"Eh... stop.." she swatted her hands at my face, and went back to sleep. The only thing I could do was carry her home.
I scoped her up in my arms, and started trudging.
Half an hour later, I reached my house. I went in the back door, I didn't want my mom to know she had been drinking. I figured she wasn't home any way, but, oh well. I walked up to my room with my girlfriend slung over my shoulder. I carefully opened my door. Good. I actually decided to make my bed today... I thought to my self. I pulled back the plaid comforter and sheet, and put her in. I covered her up, and gently planted a kiss on her pale cheek.
A little grin creped across her angelic, deep-red lips. She squirmed and then rolled over. I walked over to the TV. I figured maybe there was some stupid show on, or maybe something worth watching on Spike or Fuse. Again, maybe. A minute later, my little brother came in.
"Hellooo, Toast!... " he called.
I looked over. "What?"
"Do you want to play video games? Pleeaseeee??" he asked, he was cute when he wanted to be.
"Uh... not really.." I answered back. I heard a noise, and I turned around.
"What are you doing here?" my girlfriend was sitting up in bed, looking at my brother. She smiled and her eyes kinda rolled around in her head. She swayed a little bit and fell over.
"Um... I live here... "
"Don't even try, she's out cold."
