It was alomst that time of year again, Valentines Day. You either loved it or you hated it. But for Melony it was the worst day of the year. She had never gotten anything from anyone on that day. Not even some cute little card from her parents. After all this girl was 17 and had moved out when she was only 15.
Lets just say her house wasn't the best of place to be. Drugs rape shit like that.
When her dad tried to rape her that was it. She packed her bags and ran away. She didn't know where to go so she just went to the only place that she could think of...her best friends house. She was the only one she could trust. But when she moved Melony had no where to go but the park. Its a little wierd but she managed it. So she has been living there for about a year in a half. Of course she dropped out of school. What was the point? She didn't have nice clothes to wear and she had no books because she left them at her house.. and she wasn't about to go back there.
From day to day she just sat in the park or went for a walk around the town. She had no friends ever since her best friend moved away. She thought that everthing was a waste. School, learning, and even her life at times. She had nothing to look forward to.
So it was a normal Monday and Melony was sitting on her usual park bench, staring out in the thin air when someone came and sat by her. It was a boy about her age.
"Hey there, My name is Todd... whats yours?"
She was amazed that someone actually talked to her for once.
"Hey, I'm Melony"
"Well nice to meet you Melony. You know I've seen you hear a couple of times and right now you look a little hungry, do you want to go get some breakfast with me?"
Melony was so shocked that someone could actually be this nice.. or this good looking. So she agreed and they went to some little Denny's and ate some breakfast.
While they talked Melony and Todd found out that they had a lot in common.
So they sat there and ate their breakfast.
Melony was finally starting to look forward to the day.
