Can It Be Reality?, chapter 1
I was on a plane to go to Florida all by myself. Apparently, my parents didn't want to come... Party poopers. ANYWAY, to use my time wisely, I decided to listen to my iPod Nano. The thing is a tiny, little bugger. My album choice for now was Nimrod. I was listening to Platypus (I Hate You) and listening to my fucking prick of a math/science teacher, Ms. Levinson at the same time. I got so into the music, that I started to rock back and forth, bothering the fellow passenger in front of me. Sucker...
Someone tapped my shoulder and asked, "Is this seat taken?" I lowered the volume on my iPod, didn't make eye contact with the man, but said, "Ya, sure. Help yourself." With that being said, the pilot announces, "Okay everyone, fasten your seatbelts, we are proceeding with the liftoff. Thank you." I lean my head back on the head rest and tightly grip the arm rests. I'm not a big fan of planes. I could feel a little bustling from the person sitting next to me. He doesn't like planes either because he's moving around a lot, trying to find a sweet spot in the seat. I don't make a big deal out of it, so I listen to my iPod again. Oh cool, he has an iPod Shuffle... I see him plugging it in the arm rest gadget thingymabobber. It starts to charge. Right now, I'm listening to The Ramones. "20 20 24 hours ago, I wanna be sedated." I started to sing very loud and people got mad. Well, frigg them.
About an hour passes and I decide to be nice and personally introduce myself. I tap on the man's arm and he looks over. I grab his hand and warmly introduce myself. "Hello, I'm Lisa. How are you?" The man returns my hand with a firm shake. "Hello Lisa. I'm fine, nice to meet you." I smile and see mesmerizing, blue eyes.
As I finish introducing myself, I turn over in my seat and look out the plane window. The site is beautiful. I ponder many things like, my parents, my friend Ally, (Who I'm meeting at the airport), Green Day, Dane Cook, Mike Dirnt... And those eyes that made my heart quicken. I then think to myself, "Hmm, now I know I've seen those eyes before. I just can't quite put the thought on my tongue..." All of a sudden, it all literally punches me in the face when I realize who the man is. I turn over in my seat and tap the man's shoulder...
"Sir, you wouldn't happen to be..."
