Billie Joe for a Dad, chapter 1
"Give me all your money! Now!" The thug threw Allison to the ground. He was robbing her. It was a cold summer night. Allison was on her way home from flute practice.
"I have no money." She said.
"I'll have to take your backpack then." He snatched her backpack. He started to search through it.
"Give it back!"
"So you were holding out on me. There is five dollars in here. If that's all you have then that's all I'll take." He grabbed her by the straps of her overall shorts. "If you ever lie to me I will throw you all the way to Mexico." He through her back to the ground and her backpack. He walked away.
"I can't believe this. What am I going to do?" She got up and started to walk to the corner store. She had 78 cents and a dollar in her pocket. A car went past her and got mud on her. It started to rain. "Just my day. My parents are going to hit me again when they find out I was out late." A limo pulled up to her. The window was let down.
"You need a ride?" Mike asked. Allison fainted. Mike put her in the limo with Billie, Tre', and him. She woke up.
"Where am I?" She asked.
"You're in our limo." Tre' said.
"Are you....Green Day?"
"Yes we are." Billie Joe said.
"How did I get here?"
"I saw you on the rode by yourself so I put you in the limo." Mike said.
"What's your name?" Tre' asked.
"My name is Allison."
"Why were you out there alone?"
"I was on my way from flute practice, then I got mugged. I hate my parents. They didn't pick me up because they're at a dumb convention in Las Vegas. They said they didn't want me. My mom wanted to give me to the kids shelter in San Francisco."
"So you're staying home by yourself?" Billie asked.
"Yep."
"I can't believe this." Mike said angrily.
"So tell us about yourself Ally. Can I call you Ally?" Billie asked.
"Well, I'm 12 years old. I like to draw. I play the flute and bass. My mom doesn't want me to play the bass."
"Really? You play the bass?"
"Yeah. I live right around the corner from where you found me. I should be getting home. You need to drop me off."
"You should come live with me." Billie suggested. "What school do you go to?"
"Oakland Junior High School. It's right by Oakland Elementary."
"That's perfect. You should come live with me. I bet Adrienne wouldn't mind. We can go home and get your stuff. We have an extra room guestroom."
"Okay." They stopped at her house. She got her clothes and things and went to his house. She was introduced to everyone and she went to sleep.
"I have no money." She said.
