Can You Still Love Me If You Can't See Me Anymore?, chapter 10

We thought Roxie would leave us alone. Already it was the eleventh day of our holiday and it had gone like lightning. Anyway, enough of that, day 11. We were down at the beach, it wasn't too busy, never was really. Another good thing about that was that we could make as much noise as we wanted and nobody would care. It was just me, Lianne, Tre,Mike Vikki and Billie. And another great thing about it was that we had such freedom of speech, no Roxie to boss us around.

With the sun shining and us having the beach pretty much all to ourselves we had our minds set on other things. I could scream as much as I liked. "Silence is golden," I whispered. "BUT SHOUTING IS FUN!" I shouted and laughed as we dared one another to do stupid things. "You call that a dare? That's easy!" I said to Mike.
"I guess you can't please eveyone," he shrugged. The day moved on quickly. Lianne was soaking wet because Tre had chucked her in the sea which was quit funny to watch, so he ended up with a load of salt water in his mouth as well. He said it didn't taste that bad, so we just laughed. We did a lot then when it got a little more dusky Lianne said she had to go, so Mike followed her. And Vikki said her parent were having a barbeque and expected her back at a certain time. So that just left me and Billie. Tre left after a while as well, said he had to go and so something. We suspected he went to go and see Evelyn befre she the campsite.

"It's definitely quieter without Tre," Billie smiled.
"Yeah," I laughed.
"Not totally silent though, you're still here," he said.
"Hey!" I said giving him a half-arsed punch. He laughed even more.
"You know, when I come down here, I think of the time I first saw you here," he said.
"Don't worry," I laughed. "I'm not going to be suddenly whisked away by my mom again, I don't have to be back until about ten."
"That's okay then." He smiled, putting his hand on top of mine. A spontaneous smile crossed my face. "I like your smile too," he said. I blushed, but because it was dusk you couldn't really notice. Just then a noisy gang of people came on the beach, noisier than we were and splashing one another in the sea, one of them looked like Roxie, but I tried to ignore them.
"Hey you!" They kept shouting, I felt even more intimidated so I moved closer to Billie.
"Just ignore them," he said. I turned around to face him. He kissed me. And this time there were no interruptions. He smiled at me again, I smiled back. The shouts from the other gang were getting louder and closer, until they came right up to us to confront us. I had a bad feeling about it.
