I woke up, I wasn't in pain but I felt really numb. I sprung up and noticed I was in a hospital bed. "Jesus we're lucky to be here," I said quietly to myself. I noticed here were bandages all over me. I had a few get well cards on my side table as well. Then I thought, where's Billie? I looked around. "He did survive didn't he?"
"Hey Laura," I heard a drowsy voice at the door. It was Billie. I was so relieved. "They caught Roxie and their gang for hurting us," he said.
I sighed.
"This is all my fault," I said. "I shouldn't've put that poison ivy on her, it gave her a motive," I finished.
"Hey any of us probably would've done the same," he laughed.
"Oh darling you're okay!" I was my mom, dad and Sammy. My mom was crying. God I hate it when she does that ,it drives me to tears.
"Laura we've packed our things, so when you come out of hospital tomorrow we'll go home early," my dad said. My face fell. I looked at Billie and looked down in misery. He nodded with a deflated look on his face, he must've heard. Later on Mike, Tre, Lianne and Vikki came to see if we were both okay. I told them that the rest of them that I was going home tomorrow and that in spite of what happened I wanted to stay. They were upset about it, I was going to miss them. Tre said he'd prank Roxie again, just for me.
"Don't go there Tre, I mean just look at me," I laughed.
"Yeah, you're probably right," he said. I suppose I should be happy. I never expected to have a holiday like this and besides I would see Lianne in a few weeks time, she lived a couple of roads away from me, I could always cycle to her house, I thought. However it wouldn't be the same I thought. I went to sleep, with an unsatisfied feeling in my stomach.
