Can You Still Love Me If You Can't See Me Anymore?, chapter 5
<p>I yearned for someone to talk to as I was walking idely aorund hopeing to "accidently" run into soemeone I knew.<br /> "Laura!" I heard someone call behind me. I turned around. It was Roxie and the other girls, oh goodie wishes do come true I thought.<br /> "Hey." Hilary said.<br /> "You know you're pretty cool, we underestimated you" Vikki said.<br />"Uh thanks, I guess." I said looking puzzled.<br />"We're going to lunch wanna come?" Hilary said again. Should I? Could this be some kind of trick?<br />"Okay."<br />"Cool. Oh my God I love your necklace." Lianne said pointing at the chain around my neck.<br />"Oh thank you." I said suddenly grabbing the chain around my neck and tucking it into my top. Maybe they didn't want to be mean, maybe this it was all some kind of misunderstanding.<.p>
<p>We stopped by the ice cream place by the pool, they did hotdogs too so we thought we'd get some. <br />"So how old are you?" Roxie asked.<br />"15."<br />"Cool, what school do you go to?"<br />"St. Catherines, it's an all girls school."<br />"I know someone who goes there," Vikki added to be noticed "Do you know someone called Rosie?"<br />"No."<br /> "Aww never mind then."<br />"Your hair looks nice , but I think you should maybe tie it in a french plait. Oh yeah that would look nice with this top I've got, it's pink and it's from the new line of Diesel clothes." Lianne said. I smiled pretending to be interested, I have no interest for fashion or any of that but I didn't want to provoke a fight or anything.<br />Then Billie, Mike and Tre came in, I lit up.<br /> "Hey guys, I haven't seen you since yesterday." Roxie said going up to hug them. I discreetly rolled my eyes.<br /> "Laura!" Tre said then he came up to me and we did our secret handshake that we made up the day before, I'm surprised that we both remembered it, it was really long.<br /> I said hi Mike and Billie.<br ?> "Wanna go down to the beach again?" Billie asked me.<br ?>"Yeah, I'd love to." I said without sounding too excited at the thought.<br />"Again?" Mike asked Billie.<br />"Yeah remember I was down there last night."<br />"Yeah, I was there too we didn't plan it thought." I nodded.Mike looked at me sceptically. I nodded with a wide eyed face. He imitated me I stuck my tongue out at him. "Have you got someething you want to tell me?" He asked<br />"Yes,"<br />"You like him don't you?" he said with a smile.<br />
"No, I just wanted to tell you that your zip is undone." I said, I smirked as he looked down.<br /> "Made you look!" I said as I burst out laughing. Mike cringed and went red. Tre laughed too and high fived me.<br /> "Mike you should have seen your face you were like-" <br />"Hey!," Roxie interrupted "If you're all going to the beach we're coming too."<br />"Okay." Billie said.<br />"Yeah the more the merrier." I said slightly sarcastically. Everyone looked at me,<br /> "What? I'm serious."<br />"Come on then." Mike said.<br />"We're going back to get ready first," Hilary "We'll see you down there? Laura are you coming?"<br />"Yeah, alright then." Tre looked at me in shock.<br />"Alright you girly wirlies go and get ready then." He said teasing me.<br />"Yeah Tre if you want to come with us you're more than welcome." Billie and Mike both laughed.<br /> "I'd love to!," Tre said "but only if Lianne does my nails."<br />
"Oh Tre of course I will what colour, pastel pink?" Lianne said we all laughed.<br />"Yeah and he wants to borrow Hilary's mini skirt too." Mike laughed.<br />"Come on I wanna go now." Roxie said. And with that we all followed her, except the boys.<br /> "Ooh, I wanted my nails done." Tre said jokingly and pretended to sniff.<br />"I'm sure it would bring out your soft side Tre." Mike said and sniggered with Billie.</p>
<p>We went to the shower rooms and spent 20 minutes of front of the mirror I first saw them at. I didn't really do much Roxie did my hair in a ponytail and I put on some army trousers, another top and some flip flops.<br /> "Okay, today's the day." Roxie said. The others all squealed with excitement.<br /> "What day?" I asked Vikki.<br />"She's gonna pull him."<br />"Who?"<br />"Billie, duh," Roxie said turning around.<br /> "You're so sweet when you're like that Laura." She said smiling at me, then stoked my hair.<br /> "Yeah, that's me." I said laughing, the others laughed too, inside I felt deflated. I waited as the others put on skimpy pink flowery bikinis on. They all looked so girly with their perfect hair ad bronze skin especially Vikki. <br />"I like you army trousers." Lianne said.<br /> "I don't think you should wear them." Roxie said.<br />"Why not?" Lianne asked.<br />"They're not really practical and besides nobody can see you legs."<br />"Oh I think they're fine." I said.<br />"Okay I was just saying." She said. And with that she went out with Lianne. Vikki and Hilary followed her.<br /> "Roxie wait up!" Hilary said behind her, then they linked arms and went ahead.<br /> I trailed behind, even just by looking at Rozie and how flamboyant she was I could tell she was going to win, but then I thought, not if I play her at her own game.</p>
