A Redundant Rebel And Pieces Of A Broken Heart, chapter 11
"So are we gonna stay here forever or what?" I asked Alex looking her in her warm brown eyes.
"Well we might but that wouldn't be any fun would it?" she said playfully.
"Come on, let's go"I said taking her hand and leading her upstairs. When they got upstairs there was a long narrow corridor. It was a spooky and there was a lot of spider web hanging from the walls, it was dark too so you couldn't see the end of the corridor.
" Wow! It's kinda dark in here, and creepy too.." Alex said looking around.
"Yeah just as we like it!!" I said making her laugh again. She seemed like she forgot about Billie completely and that was good news. We started walking down the corridor with our eyes looking around to find something interesting and unusual. Then I heard a loud bump behind us. I stopped walking and turned around.
"What was that?" I asked Alex still looking behind us.
"What was what? I didn't hear anything... "
"Oh nothing must have been my imagination" I said starting walking again. After a couple of seconds there was the bump again, but now it was in front of us.
"Did u hear that?"mI asked trying to look through the dark. I grabbed one candle which was lighting the corridor.
"Yeah I heard something now, what was that?" Alex asked carefully holding my hand tighter.
"I don't know... " There it was again, but the sound was now coming from a room nearby.
"It's coming from over there" I said pointing at one of the doors.
"Let's check it out!!" Alex said getting a bit excited.
"Ok if you want... " I said to her, I was a lil bit curious too. I opened the door and we went in. The light from the candle was weak, but we managed to see a man throwing books from a box to the floor. Alex let go of my hand and went closer to him. I wanted to say something to stop her, but no words came out of my mouth.
"Hello mister, we were just passing here, and heard you throwing those books, and we where wondering, why are you doing that??" Alex said to him. He stopped throwing books and he stared at floor for a few seconds. It seemed like hours to me. His dirty hair was falling down, so we couldn't see his face. Then he started to turn his head slowly. I came closer with the candle so we could see him better. Then something sparkled. It was he's rotten teeth when he smiled. Alex screamed, cause he was a skeleton. There where pieces of his skin witch was falling a part. He looked awful. Like he was dead for quite a while. He smelled like that too. He made a horrible sound, I think he was trying to laugh. Alex took my hand and pulled me out of the room. I closed the door. She looked me in the eyes. I was melting, she had the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen. We stood there looking in each others eyes. It felt like forever, I was lost in her eyes. And then we heard the bump again. The skeleton man or whatever he was, was throwing book again.
"Come on let's go" I said breaking the silence.
"That was fun, wasn't it?? It scared the crap out of me!!!"she said laughing. I didn't laugh, I was still hypnotized by her gorgeous eyes.
"Hey you alright Tre? Don't tell me our lil Tre was scared? Come here baby!" she said playfully giving me a kiss on the cheek.
"Tre your so cute! I love you!!!" she said softly playing with my hair. I was shocked. She said that she loved me!!!! I was stunned but I was happy, the happiest person alive, at leased I thought. All of my dreams came true!! She loved me!!! And oh god how I loved her!!! I hugged her tightly and whispered to her tenderly:
"I love you too, babe" Then she looked me in the eyes. "Wow he has gorgeous eyes, there so... well I don't know amazing and so... blue!" that crossed Alex's mind when she was looking at him. "Oh my god I wanna kiss her!!! Her lips look so soft... " Tre thought.
"Maybe I should... I mean she did say she loves me... "
"Oh Tre!! You're the best friend anyone can have!!! I love you so much!!" Alex said just when Tre was about to kiss her. She huged him again. Then Tre figured out what she said. "Oh, can I be such a jerk!! She doesn't love me!!! Well she does but only like a friend!!! God I'm dumb!!! How can anyone like her be in love with anyone like me? Besides she loves Billie, she told me that myself!!! Oh man!!! I'm the dumbest person alive!!!" Tre thought. He felt like his whole felt apart. Something cold was taking over his heart, it was wrapped around he's heart like a snake. He pulled her out of the hug.
"I had enough let's ditch this place!" Tre said with a cold voice full of disgust to her. A slight chill past trough her skin.
"Ok let's go." she said in a low voice a bit confused by his cold voice. They walked out of the Haunted mansion. She looked at her cell to see what time it was.
"Tre, an hour has passed we should go and meet the others." she said carefully.
"Ok let's go" he said not caring at all where they where going. He was repeating to him self that Alex loves Billie and he loves her too. He felt so alone, like he was the loneliest person in the world. The rage he felt for Billie was gone, and instead of it there was sadness and loneliness. They were walking in silence and Tre was staring at his feet with his hands in his pockets. After a couple of minutes they were in front of a huge roller-coaster.
"Hey you guys!!" Jenny said happily waving at them.
"Hey!" Alex said in a low voice.
"Hey! Why the long faces?" Mike asked. Alex and Tre didn't answer, they just kept staring at the ground, like it's the most interesting thing they ever saw. A few painful and silent minutes later Billie showed up.
"Hey Bay Jay!!!" Jenny said kissing him playfully on the cheek.
"Hey!" he said softly trying to look Alex in the eyes, but he couldn't cause she just kept staring at the ground. She didn't wanna face him, not now. She knew she'll have to sooner or later, but she wasn't ready yet. It was too painful, like putting salt on an open wound.
"I'm tired, let's go home... " Alex said quietly.
"What's wrong with you people? Why are all of you so blue??" Jenny said smiling trying to cheer them up.
"Nothing where just tired" Tre said a bit grouchy.
"Ok then let's go!" Mike said and started to walk away. They followed him without saying a another word.
