A Redundant Rebel And Pieces Of A Broken Heart, chapter 3
"Hey! Sorry we're late, Billie was..." said Mike.
"No, I wasn't! You can't blame me!" said Billie cutting Mike off.
"Yes you were!" Mike was now shouting.
"No, I wasn't!"
"Stop! You're acting like a bunch of three-year olds," said Tre, shouting at them both.
"Who asked you anything asshole?" Billie was yelling on Tre.
"I'm not an asshole! You are! Motherfucker!"
Then they started to fight. It was funny in the beginning, but now it wasn't. I wasn't worried too much but I still wanted them to stop so we could finally go.
Mike came and separated them.
"Stop it guys! It's enough already" I said a little bit pissed. "So you're done? We can go? Yeah?"
"Finally!" Jenny added.

The sun was shining full blast. It was hot.
I felt so stupid after that fight with Tre. Alex and Jenny were so pissed at us. When I saw Jenny in her swimsuit, I remembered how beautiful she was. Meanwhile Alex had an amazing body too.
"Hey man, stop staring." Mike said to me, pushing me a bit.
"I wasn't staring!" I replied.
"Yes you were!"
"I was?"
"Hell yeah you were man!"
Uhmmm..." I mumbled.
I sat on the sand between Alex and Jenny.
"You guys coming? The water's great!" Mike shouted from the water.
"Yep I'm definitely coming! You guys coming too?" Jenny asked.
"Na, you go ahead I'm going to try to catch some sun." Alex replied.
"Nope I don't feel like it. I'll come later ok?" I said.
"Ok bye for now!" Jenny said, kissing me on the cheek and then ran smiling to the water.
What I said was half true; I really didn't feel like it. But, I also wanted to spend some time alone with Alex. To get to know her better. She was good company.
"Can you put some sun cream on my back please? I don't want to get a sunburn" Alex asked me.
"Oh... sure" I answered.
"Thanks" she said.
"No problem."
When I touched her soft skin I shivered. I wanted to hug her. She was an amazing girl but I was in love with Jenny. I was sure I loved Jenny.

Jenny had asked Billie and I to go swimming with her, Mike and Tre. I wanted to be alone. I needed to clear my head. But then Billie said he wasn't going swimming either. I thought that was strange, but I didn't say anything. Then I asked Billie to put some sun cream on my back. It was like in those movies, when a guy likes a girl and a girl likes a guy and they're on the beach. Then he puts some sun cream on her back. It's a classic. But this wasn't that case. Maybe I do like Billie, but I'm sure he doesn't like me that way. I mean maybe he does like me but just like a friend. My cousin is his girlfriend for God's sake! And he loved her. This is so pathetic. It was like we were in a soap opera.
"Ok now you won't get sunburn!" said Billie, and then he smiled. Alex smiled too. They were just sitting on the beach for a couple of minutes talking about ordinary stuff, like parents, school and music. Alex liked Billie more and more every second they spent together.
"So Billie, you play in a band or what?" Alex asked, looking him straight into his eyes.
Yep. Mike, Tre and I! And how about you? Do you play in a band?" He asked.
"Yeah, me and couple of my friends have a band. We call it Tripping Slowly 'cause I felt like I was tripping. Tripping slowly. You didn't say what your band is called?" She asked again.
"Oh... oops sorry, we call ourselves Green Day."
"Cool name! How did you come up with that?"
And before Billie Joe could answer, Mike and Jenny came laughing, followed by Tre who was running like mad. Tre came to Billie and splashed him.
"Asshole!" Billie shouted getting up and chasing Tre down the beach. Tre finally ran into the sea, but Billie followed him there. They started to fight in the water. Everybody laughed and then they ran to the water. Now they were splashing the water at each other.

It was fun to have a splash fight. I came up behind Billie and I winked to Jenny. Jenny distracted him and then I tackled him. When he got up he took me and threw me in to the water. Mike was running like mad with Jenny on his back. We were having so much fun!
When the situation cooled down, Billie and Jenny disappeared. I didn't notice it at first because I was occupied with Mike and Tre. I was riding on Mike's back now chasing Tre. When Mike and I went behind one of the cliffs we seen Billie and Jenny. There were passionately making out. It hurt my fragile heart. I should have been used to it because they were dating and all, but I wasn't prepared. At that moment I realized we could never be together.

We were having fun fighting, splashing and tickling each other, but after a while Jenny took my hand and lead me behind a cliff.
"I love you BJ," she said looking at me with her beautiful deep blue eyes.
"I love you too, babe." I smiled and then kissed her. Soon after that we started to make out. At one moment I thought that Alex was in Jenny's place. I shook my head and made that thought go away.
After a couple of minutes, I saw Alex sitting on Mike's shoulders. They were staring at us. When they saw me looking at them they went away.

"Hey Alex let's go. They need a little privacy." Mike said to her, taking her down off of his shoulders.
"Yeah let's go." Alex said fighting her tears.
They came out of the water, and soon Billie and Jenny joined them.
"I'm tired," said Jenny lying down.
"Me too" said Billie.
"No wonder! You practically sucked her kidney out BJ!" Tre teased.
"Shut up Tre! At least I have a girlfriend!"
"I could have a lot of babes if I wanted one!" Everybody knew that's not true, Tre had a problem finding a girlfriend.
"Yeah right! And I'm Einstein!" Billie said sarcastically.
"Well hello mister Einstein!"
"Oh Tre blow me!"
"Stop you guys! Were all sick of your stupid arguments and silly fights!" said Mike slightly annoyed.
After a few minutes everybody was dry.
"Guys let's ditch this place!" Alex said.
"Yeah let's go!" they all agreed. They got dressed and started walking home.
Later that night, Alex was lying on the guest bed staring at the ceiling. She just needed to clear her mind.

"Today was one hell of a day! I think I'm falling in love with Billie even though I've only known him for a little while. But he's my cousin's boyfriend! Why does everything have to be so complicated?" She thought.
It seemed that Billie's and Jenny's relationship was cooling down, but when she and Mike saw them making out she quickly threw that thought out of her mind. No way! They were so in love that a two-year-old could see it!
She was lost in her thoughts for a while until she fell asleep.
