A Redundant Rebel And Pieces Of A Broken Heart, chapter 5
Alex was glad that they came because the place was amazing. There was a beautiful forest and a little, but amazing waterfall.
"Oh my God! This is amazing!" Alex shouted excited.
"Yep! So you like it?" Billie asked smiling.
"Well... Duh! It's awesome!"
"So we're gonna have a picnic or what?" Tre said running around with a picnic basket. Everybody was laughing, and then we all started to run. It was hot.
"Anybody wanna join me under the waterfall?" Tre asked with a huge smile on his face.
"Yeeeaaahh!" everybody said taking their clothes off and running to the water.
"Hey people, let's play a game!" Tre proposed.
"Okay Tre, what kind of game?" Mike asked suspiciously.
"Well..." Tre said with an evil grin on his face, "Guys against the girls, we're gonna tackle each other like this!" he said that and grabbed Alex's shoulders and tackled her. She got up from the water.
"You mean like this?!?" she said and tackled Tre to the water.
Everybody was laughing.
"Okay! Just stop for a minute! It's not far, guys against the girls! We are out numbered!" "Besides, you guys are stronger then lil'ol' me and Alex" said Jenny with a weird look on her face stopping Tre and Alex from tackling. Everybody was laughing again.
"Maybe Tre could be with the girls," said Billie teasing Tre, "He practically is a girl!"
"I am not!" Tre replied and started to chase Billie.
"Okay! I'm gonna be with the girls!" Mike said winking to Jenny and Alex, "But remember guys, you're going down!"
"We'll have to see that!" -Billie said and we all started tackling again.
*Alex*
I was mostly tackling Billie and a lil bit Tre. Once I accidentally tackled Mike and he pulled me in the water with him. When I tackled Billie I was looking in his eyes and there was that weird connection between us again. After a while we went out of the water. I ate a sandwich. I saw Mike and Jenny sitting under the waterfall, they looked happy.
"I'm going for a walk," I said to Tre and Billie.
"Okay, do you want us to come with you?" Billie said.
"No thanks, I'll be fine, I wanna spend sometime alone." I said and smiled and then walked to the forest. It was nice and peaceful. I followed the stream. It lead to another waterfall, it was even more beautiful then the first one. It was a very special place. I sat down on the soft green grass. I was wondering does Billie know for this place. I wished that he was here holding me in his arms, but then I remembered Jenny. No way, no how we could be together. I was looking around exploring the place when I saw something carved in a tree. I got up from the grass and went to the tree so I can read what it says. It said: "Billie Joe + Jenny" in a big heart. Under that it said, "A true example of undying and honest love."
I just stared at their names, just stared opening another wound on my heart.
Wherever I go, whatever I do, there was something rubbing in my face that I can't be with Billie. I just couldn't be with him. Never. I was still staring at the tree with tears running down my face. There was nothing inside of me. Nothing. Just nothing.
"Alex! Hey Alex where the fuck are you?" Somebody was looking for me. It was dark already.
"There you are! We were worried sick! You've been here all the time?" Tre asked me. I didn't answer. I just sat down and stared at the waterfall. Tre sat down next to me. He noticed I was crying.
"Hey babe, why are you crying?" he asked, softly hugging me.
"It's a long story," I said wiping my tears away. What a nice feeling to have someone to wipe your tears...
"I have time!" he said.
"Well... Promise you won't tell anybody!" I said calming down a bit.
"Cross my heart!" he said with a funny voice, crossing his heart with his finger. I smiled. Good old Tre! He could make me smile even in a situation like this.
"Ermm... Well I kinda like Billie!" I started.
"And so what, I like Billie too!" he said, "If I didn't like him he wouldn't be my friend, now would he?" he said not letting me finish.
"No Tre! Not in that way, I... I... I'm in love with Billie!"
"Wow! You're in love with Billie?" he said staring in shock at me.
"Well... Yeah... "
"But how? He's dating your cousin!"
"Yeah, I noticed that!" I said a lil bit pissed.
"Oh, sorry don't be angry please! I'm just surprised, I would never guess that... You... Billie... I mean..."
"Yeah I know... It's impossible that we end up together... We'll never be together... Never.." When I said that I started crying again. Tre hugged me even tighter. I was crying in his T-shirt.
"Calm down... It's gonna be okay! You'll see!" he tried to calm me down.
"How can it be okay? It hurts so much!"
"Shh... Don't worry, if it's meant to be love always finds a way!" Tre said.
"Tre?"
"Hmm?" he looked in my eyes.
"Have you been watching soap operas again?" I said laughing.
"No!" he denied it and pretended that he was mad.
"Haha! Tre you're the best! You always find a way to make me laugh! You're a great friend!" I stopped crying and hugged him tightly. "I'm a great friend... " Tre thought staring at the trees for a bit. Then he said:
"Hey! Easy girl! I'm gonna suffocate here!" he was trying to be happy but something was there that was blocking the way for happiness.
Somehow I fell on top of him and we started laughing even more. Then I saw Billie staring at us. I stopped laughing. Billie had something sad in his eyes. His eyes were accusingly looking at me. I felt like I did something wrong. But I didn't! I wasn't doing anything wrong, and I still felt guilty! He stared at me for a while and then he left. I got off of Tre.
"We should head back; they're probably still looking for you," Tre said with a low voice getting up and slowly walking back.
"Yeah, we probably should." I said walking next to Tre. The feeling of guilt didn't go away.
