True Follower, chapter 1
This story is about a girl named Nathia Andreas. Nathia was a short, thin teenager of 14. She had long brown hair and blue eyes. But Nathia wasn't average. Nathia was a Green Day fanatic. And I mean FANATIC!!!!! She traveled to over 15 different countries to see the guys concerts, she once dumped a boyfriend because he didn't like Green Day. She had a band named The Natural Disasters, their inspiration being Green Day. She had over 1000 posters of her idols and every song ever written by them. Nathia loved Green Day with a passion that no one could understand but she was always angry and troubled because she had never actually met the guys. One day this all changed...................................
Nathia was practicing with her band (also her best friends) Kerri, Stephanie and Leanne in her basement. You wont believe the irony of this, but she lived about thirty two miles from Oakland, the home of Green Day. It just so happened that the guys were in their limo traveling back home and Tre had the window open (about to moon some pedestrians) the guys heard Nathia's band playing.
"Wow. They're real good!!" said Tre when he heard them.
"Yea they are awesome! I wonder who they are." (That was Mike)
Billie Joe was feeling happy today so he turned around and said to the guys, "Let's go find out!"
They told their monkey chauffeur to stop.
Nathia's parents were on holiday so it was just her and the girls. Ding Dong Ding Dong!!!
"I better get the door guys. You keep practicing without me and I'll be back in a minute!"
She ran upstairs shouting, "I'm coming, I'm coming!!!"
When she opened the door she saw someone she had dreams about every night and the person whom it was her life long purpose to meet. Yes, it was Billie Joe Armstrong. Nathia blacked out and hit the floor.
"Aw no! What did you do now Billie? She was perfectly fine a minute ago."
"Shut up Tre! Help me out here." They lifted Nathia onto a chair in the hallway.
"Is she dead?" asked mike sarcastically.
"Ha Ha you're so funny." Billie Joe was tired of all his fans passing out!
Tre nosed around for a bit, found a sink and threw water all over Nathia's face.
"What the hell did you do that for?"
"I dunno, I thought it might work!"
"Well it didn't so go look for someone to help," said Mike.
Tre was a little angry at them for thinking he was so stupid. He went to look for someone. A couple of seconds later Mike and Billie heard the loudest screams ever coming from downstairs.
"Looks like he found someone alright!" laughed Mike.
Kerri, Stephanie and Leanne all came upstairs hanging off Tre. They were all crying with disbelief that they had just met the Tre cool.
"Who are your new girlfriends?" asked Mike.
"Ha Ha!" said Tre.
All the girls screeched. OH MY GOD!! OH MY GOD!! AAAAAAAAHHH!!! They had just copped sight of Billy and Mike.
They both just laughed and said "Hi girls."
They all hugged. Kerri tried to snog Billie but she only got as far as a kiss on the lips. "Sorry, but you're to young for me," said Billie and he smiled.
Kerri didn't care though, she had just kissed her favourite person in the whole world! Stephanie squeezed Mike so hard he spluttered for a minute, and Leanne just stood there, frozen with shock. Billie and Mike hugged her but she never moved.
"I..I..Oh my god..." She fainted and Tre caught her just in time.
"What's wrong with Nathia?" asked Kerri.
"What do you think?" asked Stephanie.
Nathia started to wake up. "Where am I? Why am I all wet?"
Tre blushed. When she opened her eyes she saw Billie Joe Armstrong staring back at her.
"Hi. You fainted when you saw me. I wonder why."
"Oh my God..oh my god...oh my god." Nathia thought she was dreaming. This could not be happening. This was happening.
"Me and the guys heard you playing and we thought we would come and check you out." "You...you like our music?" Nathia asked dizzily.
"Yea it's awesome!!" shouted Tre. Nathia let out a high pitched scream at the sight of Tre and Mike.
"Sorry!" said Tre, a bit disappointed.
"I don't think she was screaming cause she was afraid of you Tre," said Stephanie, winking at him. Nathia looked at the three members of Green Day with tears in her eyes. "I...I just can't believe you guys are here. In my house. Right beside me. You're my idols. Our idols."
Billie Joe looked down at her.
"Thanks. That means a lot."
Nathia and the girls showed Green Day around the house. They played some or their made up songs and the guys loved them.
"I need to get a copy of these," said Mike. They had a lot of moments where Nathia just broke down and cried because she was so happy. They all got Billie Joe's, Tre's and Mike's autographs, made a home video with them and the guys in it, and took loads of pictures of them together. When it was time for the guys to go everyone was upset. The guys had gotten very fond of Nathia and the girls. And of course Nathia, Kerri, Stephanie and Leanne were all crying again when they were leaving.
"We love you guys and that will never change," said Nathia. They all hugged and Nathia was given lots of kisses by the guys because she was so emotional.
Months passed and Nathia stayed in touch with Green Day. She would talk to them for hours on end on the phone every week. They met up regularly and one time Nathia even met Billie Joe's wife and kids. Nathia was in a cafe with the guys one time and Billie Joe gave her a box of Green Day merchandise.
"We've got something special, you know that kid?" said Billie Joe in his American accent. "Don't I know it!" she replied. She looked around. Mike was sitting beside her drinking coffee. Tre was making funny faces at her and singing like a rat does cheese. She realized how lucky she was to know these guys. She loved them with all her heart.
One day Nathia was sitting on the couch reading a magazine and thinking about the guys. They hadn't called her in two days. Maybe they're just busy she thought. She sat up and turned on the television. That was when it happened....
She felt a cold shiver run down her spine, one so scary and terrifying that she had never felt before. The news was on. Dearly beloved from Jesus of Suburbia was playing in the background. A picture of Billie Joe came up on the screen. When she saw Mike, Tre, Adrienne and millions of Green Day fans all over the world screaming and crying she knew what had happened.....Billie Joe Armstrong was dead. He had died in a shooting incident. That was it. Her best friend was dead. She was never going to look into his big green eyes again. At that moment she knew that her whole reason for living was gone. Her idol, the one guy she loved so much.
She started screaming. "No! No! This isn't happening! Oh my god!"
She was sobbing so much she couldn't breathe. Nathia ran over to a kitchen draw and took out some pills and swallowed them. She knew there was no point in living anymore. She sat down and sent a text to Billie Joe's cell phone even though she knew he wouldn't reply: "Even though you are gone, you will be in my heart forever and always. I love you so much. Nathia."
She felt her organs shutting down and slumped to the floor. She was found dead by her parents at 8Am that morning.
