I've Been Living A Lie, chapter 5

I really wanted to run right now, but it was like there was a force stopping me, leaving me trapped staring at my real parents. It felt like the whole room had silenced too, though I knew everyone was going by as normal and no one noticed the three nervous people standing in the center of the room. I was hoping, praying for a reason to leave and someone was obviously listening. Katie came over.
"Hi Lottie, there you are... Are you ok?" she asked.
I nodded slowly, backing out the circle. "I'm fine."
And now I was out, the invisible barrier seemed to have broken as well, so I took the chance to run, fast. I had no idea where, I just ran out the room and this time everyone really had silenced. The sound of my footsteps echoed the halls and I heard the commotion from the back room start up again. When I got near the end of the corridor I heard voices round the corner,
"No Mike you don't understand... that WAS Charlotte!"
...Tre and Mike... I didn't know they knew. What am I talking about of course they knew they're his best friends. I heard their footsteps coming closer and I ran into the closest room, locking the door behind me. I let out a breath of relief lent back on the door and slid down it. It was then I sensed someone looking at me, I looked up and saw Jason White watching me, confused.
"Erm.... what the hell?" he asked. I smiled weakly
"I'm really sorry, I'm kinda running away from some people." He looked at me weirdly.
"Can I ask who?" I thought for a moment before deciding to tell the truth.
"Billie Joe," I replied shortly. He smirked.
"Let me guess, you totally embarrassed yourself and now you hiding from him." I rolled my eyes.
"You got the second bit right, and I guess the first bits slightly right." Jason smiled at me.
"You do know this is his dressing room don't you? This probably isn't the best place to hide!" I went to reply when I heard someone try to open the door only to find it locked. I heard familiar voices fill the air.
"Shit it's locked.... I have the key somewhere," Billie said.
"We should find Jason, maybe he's seen her," Adie replied, completely ignoring what Billie just said.
My breath caught as the jangling of keys cut through the short silence. I quickly spun round to Jason who was confused by what Adie just said.
"Jason, I'm gonna hide behind the couch," I whispered jumping behind the one he was sitting on.
"If they ask, you haven't seen me. Got it?" I asked hurriedly. He just nodded and went back to looking at the papers on his knee that he had abandoned when I came in. I ducked down behind the couch just as the door opened.
"Oh Hi Jase, You haven't seen a girl, brown hair, green eyes anywhere, have you?" Billie said.
"Erm... No, sorry, I haven't" he replied. He had his arm on the back of the couch and he kept tapping my head. It was driving me insane, but I couldn't do anything about it so I just tried ignoring him.
"Oh ok." I heard the door close and I jumped up an shouted at Jason.
"Why'd you keep hitting me, asshole!" I wasn't really angry.... just pissed off.
That's when I noticed Billie and Adie haven't left the room at all, they'd just closed the door. Jason looked at me and smirked slightly before turning back to Billie.
"Oh.... you mean her! ...Yeah I've seen her."
