Wake Me Up When the Sun Rises, chapter 2

I couldn't believe that I was actually staring into the face of one of my idols.
"Do you know who you are?" he asked, concern in his eyes.
I nodded and rubbed the back of my head where the guy had grabbed me.
"My name is Tori Craven," I said, looking at his face.
"And you... you're Billie Joe Armstrong, and I think I might be hallucinating because this can't be real. Am I actually in the house of the front man of the greatest band on the planet?" I asked, my mind trying to process this all.

He chuckled and ran a hand through his jet black hair.
"Well, I don't know about all that, but I am Billie Joe Armstrong and yeah, you're in my house."
"Wow." It's all that came out and I blushed feeling really stupid. He laughed again and it sounded like music itself.
"Such powerful words have never been said to me," he said jokingly. I laughed nervously.

Then I caught sight of his son, the one who had come to my rescue. "Thank you... Joey... you said your name was?"
"Yeah," he said, smiling.
"And it was nothing. So now that you're up, would you like something to eat?"
My eyes widened with the offer.
"Here?! With you guys?"
He smiled coyly and I felt my stomach twist nervously. God he's cute! "No, down the block at our neighbor's house!" he said sarcastically. "Yeah here, unless of course there's a problem with us," he said, putting on a mock-serious face.
"I. I don't want to be a burden!" I said "I have money to buy my own food with!"
"Sorry," said Billie Joe. "But we absolutely aren't letting you A) leave on your own again and B) leave without eating something." he said, jumping up. "So after you're done eating, we'll drop you off at your house at the very least," he said, pulling me up.
"Well, if you insist!" I said, not really needing anymore convincing. I grinned up at Joey who pulled me up off of the bed. His mom, Adrienne, came over to me and shooed away the two guys.
"Come on, lets get you cleaned up." She ushered me into a big bathroom. She handed me a robe and told me to put it on with a pair of sweat pants until she got my clothes washed.

"You can use the shower if you want, which I'd be surprised if you didn't want to." She handed me two towels and left me alone in the room that was as big as the lower level of my own house. I took a shower and threw the robe and sweat pants on and crept slowly down the hall. Joey was waiting for me at the bottom of the stairs
He grinned when he saw me. "I thought you'd drowned in our shower," he said playfully.
"It's deep enough!" I replied smiling.
"Come on," he said. "The kitchen's this way. You know mom never makes pancakes for us! Usually it's just cold cereal for breakfast. Maybe I should save pretty girls more often." He smiled at me. I blushed violently. He chuckled and let me ahead of him into the kitchen/dining room.

A smaller boy who resembled Joey, except he had brown hair, not black, was sitting at the table and banging his fork on the table. "FOOD! FOOD! Dad, I'm DYING!" he whined loudly.
"Hang on Jakers, food's almost ready you impatient little..." his voice trailed away as I walked in.
"Hope pancakes are ok!" he said, putting a whole big pile of them on the table.
Jakob's hazel eyes widened in hunger and Billie Joe hit him lightly over the head with the spatula.
"Wait for just a few more minutes."
"Pancakes sound wonderful," I said, sitting down. Joey sat next to me and stared intently at me. I blushed again and Jake looked at me. "Who are you?" he asked dropping his fork.
"Tori," I replied sweetly.
"I'm Jakob Danger Armstrong," he stated proudly.
I grinned, "I know."
He deflated a little. "How?"
I motioned for him to come closer. He leaned in curiously.
"I'm psychic!" I whispered into his ear and his eyes widened again. Joey laughed and Billie Joe smiled and placed syrup on the table.

The front door opened and everyone's head turned just before Billie Joe got laid out by a black blur. There was a sound of a scuffle on the floor and I jumped up to see over the table. Rolling on the ground with Billie Joe in a head lock was Tre Cool. Following behind him was Mike Dirnt, who joined the fray. I gasped and laughed as I sat back down. Joey looked amused. My heart pounded hard as I realized I was in the presence of the godfathers of punk rock themselves: Green Day!
