Staring At Falling Stars, chapter 3
When you both finally break apart you stare into his eyes. "I'm still pretty tired." He says. "Yeah me too, but I don't want to go to sleep yet." you say. "Yeah me either." He says. You couldn't help but smile. "Do you wanna talk a little while longer?" He says, sitting on your bed. You walk over and sit down beside him. " Yeah, that would be nice." "Do you remember the first day we met?" He asks.
"Yeah." you say. You start to get nervous and starting twirling you ring on your finger. Billie knew you did that when you got nervous. "Are you okay?" he says. "Yeah, I'm fine." you say, continuing to look down. He puts hid hand on yours. " Don't be nervous around me. please, it makes me think you don't want me around or that you don't trust me." He says looking down. "No, it's not that at all! It's just....well..." You start, but cut off. "Just what?" Asks Billie looking at you hopefully. " I-I well I really...like you a lot. I shouldn't have said that. I'm sorry." You say and look down again. " Why are you apologizing? I thought you didn't like me and you avoided me...but." He pauses and looks up at you. You look at him. "But what?" you say. He just looks at you for a moment longer. You look down and start to twirl your ring again. " If you don't like me just say it Billie." You say as tears start to form in your eyes. "Aw don't cry Jess please don't cry I really do like you." He says and lifts your head up. He wipes away your tears and smiles. " Really?" You say shocked. You close your eyes and sigh with relief. Before you open your eyes you feel his lips press against yours. You pull back and look at him. "I-I'm sorry." he says and starts to get up. "No." You say and grab his arm. You pull him to you and start kissing him more passionately. You wrap your arms around his neck and pull him back onto the bed. He wraps his arms around you and Continues to kiss you. After a little while of this you both pull back. All you can do is smile at each other. You lay your head on his chest and listen to his heatbeat slowly go back to normal. He grabs you hand and links his fingers with yours. " Jessie can I ask you something?" he says. "Yeah." You say, still listening to the beat of his heart. "Will you be my beautiful girl?" He says and tilts his head to the side and looks at you. "Yes." You say and smile. He smiles and kisses you on the forehead. You both fall asleep within a few seconds. You both had long days.
***The Next Morning***
Billie wakes up. He feels like he's holding something. He sees Jessie laying there in his arms. 'Is this a dream? Was it all a dream?' he wonders. Jessie turns slightly. He sees her face is bruised but the swelling had gone down a little. 'No I guess not' he thinks as he looks over to see what time it is. 4:50am. 'Wow. it's early. Hey I don't have to go to school today. I don't have any exams. I wonder if Jessie does. That'd be great if she didn't.' He looks down and sighs "You're Beautiful." He whispers. " No you are." She says slowly opening her eyes. He smiles and kisses her on the forehead. "Do you have to go to school today?" He asks. She thinks for a minute. "No." She says. "Good." he says. "I'm going to get dressed." you say sitting up. "I would but I don't have any clothes to change into." Says Billie. "I think I have something you can wear." You say getting up. Billie looks at you kind of strangely, "Really?" he says. "Yeah, Don't you remember when Tre' pushed me in the pool at your house and it was cold outside so you made me change into some of your clothes?" You say. "Oh yeah, I forgot about that." He says and smiles. "I think I even have a pair of your boxers...somewhere." You say digging in your drawers again. "Really?" He says raising his eye brows. "And how exactly did you get a hold of those?" "Well This is only your second home, you stay here a lot so naturally you leave stuff. I guess my room is wear Mike puts anything that isn't his or Tre's so yeah. If you're ever missing something I probably have it." You say. "Ah here we go." You say handing him a full clean set of clothes. "Well Then have you seen my pick necklace? It's been missing for a while.' He asks. Your face drops sadly. You found that necklace and you knew it was his but you didn't want to give it back. You reach behind your neck and take it off. You hand it to him. He just looks at you. "You had it?" he says. "Yeah, I found it a while back...I didn't want to give it back." You say looking at the ground. He gets up and walks behind you. He places it around your neck and hooks it together, " Then you keep it." He says and kisses you on the cheek.
He takes his clothes and walks out. You stare at the door. ' that's the nicest thing anyone's ever done to me.' you think. You get dressed and walk to the other bathroom you hear Billie taking a shower and singing in the other one. You brush your teeth and your hair. You hear the water turn off so you turn yours on and take a quick shower washing the blue out of your hair and all your make up off. You get out and get dressed again, dry your hair, and do your make up. You walk down stairs and see Billie in the kitchen. You walk up behind him and grab his waist. He jumps and turns around. You smile "Good morning." He wraps his arms around you. You lean up and kiss him. "Good morning" He says and smiles. You hear a door up stairs open "Lets make them breakfast." You say and turn to start getting food. "Oh Tre' said to let you know he was sorry about yesterday and it was all his fault." Billie whispers in your ear. His voice was so smooth when he said it, it gave you chills. "It's okay." You say.
You hear a door slam and someone yell "Get over it! I said I was sorry!" It sounded like Tre'. Then " Shut up! How many more people are you going to get hurt?! You need to learn when to stop!"
