Staring At Falling Stars, chapter 4

You hear another door slam. You and Billie look at each other. "Should we go talk to them?" You say. "Yeah, I'll go talk to Tre'. You should talk to Mike since he is your brother and you both tell each other everything." He says and smiles. You both walk up the stairs as you turn and knock on Mikes door, Billie walks to Tre's room. " Mike, Mike please open the door it's Jess. I want to talk to you. Please?" You say. You hear the door unlock, he never opens it for you. You walk in and see him laying on his bed with his arms crossed, staring at the ceiling. "Mike, we heard you two down stairs. What's going on?" You say walking over and sitting on the edge of his bed. "Nothing." he says and rolls over. "Mikey please tell me." you say and shake him a little. He sits up. "Look at your face. That was all Tre's fault." He says and puts his hand under your chin and turns your head so he can see the bruise. "No, it was my fault. I jumped in front of him." You say and grab his hand. "Mike you can't blame Tre' for it, you should blame Jon if anyone." you say. "I guess you're right, but yesterday afternoon he made Sammie cry." He paused and looked down. "What? Why?" you say. "Well, you know how Sammie has liked him for a while now, and they are always doing things together. Well he had been smoking and was acting stupid. He was just playing around with Alex and Sammie saw him, but instead of apologizing he just kept on. It really crushed Sammie you know?" He finished. "Well did anyone tell Sammie he had been smoking? I'm sure she would understand." You say, trying to make things better. " Yes, but she just cried more and said that couldn't be his excuse all the time." He said. Mike and Sammie had been close friends since mom's accident. Seeing her hurt killed him. "Do you want me to try to talk to her?" You say after a few minutes of thinking. "You can try, but I'm still not talking to Tre'." He says and crosses his arms. "Mikey you can't be mad at him forever. Why don't you try to talk to him. Try to get him to apologize and talk it out with Sammie." You suggest. "Well..." He was considering. "I guess." He said. He wasn't happy about it, but he knew it would be better for Tre' to talk to Sammie than you.

***In Tre's Room***

"Tre', Tre' C'mon man get up. Don't be like this. Tell me what's going on." Billie says walking in Tre's room.
"Go away, you'll only get mad at me more too." Tre' says bluntly.
"I'm not mad at you already. How could I get mad at you more?" Billie says sitting down by Tre' on the floor.
"I thought you were mad at me for hurting your girl." Tre' says looking up. Tre' knew Billie-Joe had liked Jessie since they were kids.
"Well, you weren't the one that hurt her so I'm not mad at you. Tre' C'mon what's going on with you and Mike?" Billie says easily.
"I screwed everything up! Everyone I care about hates me!" Tre' says. Billie could hear his voice breaking.
"Tre' I'm sure they don't hate you. Why would they? Besides Jessie isn't mad at you either." Billie says calmly.
"You don't understand Billie-Joe! I ruined everything I had with Sam! I'll never get her back now and Mike hates me! Alex won't even look at me." He says. Tears were streaming down his face now.
"What did you do Tre'?" Billie said a little surprised.
"I was acting like an idiot as usual! I was high, I didn't care who I was hurting. I was just kidding around with Alex but everyone thought I was serious." Tre' says.
"Have you apologized?" Asks Billie.
"To Mike and I tried to apologize to Alex. Sammie ran away from me before I could say anything" Tre' finishes and buries his face in his arms.
"Oh Tre', I'm sorry man. Maybe you should try to do something sweet for her and make it up to her." Billie says and smiles hopefully.
"Like what?" Tre' says looking up.
"Like...Well does she like some kind of flower?" Billie asks.
"Yeah, She likes Canailles" Tre' says. He pauses and smiles, remembering a trip they had taken to a beautiful park on Valentine's day last year.
"Then get her a bunch of Canailles and ask her if you two can talk it out." Billie says getting up.
" Thanks Billie-Joe." Tre' says as Billie pulls him up.
"No problem. Lets go down stairs for breakfast." Billie says patting Tre' on the back.

***In the Kitchen***

You and Mike had already made breakfast, pancakes, eggs, bacon, and orange juice.
"Mmm, Something smells good." Says Billie walking into the kitchen. He sits down next to you and smiles. Mike and Tre' walk into the lounge.
"Did it go okay?" you ask as Billie gets a pancake.
"Yeah. Lets just hope it all works itself out now." He says pouring some syrup on his plate.
You smile and start to make your plate.
Mike and Tre' walk back in. They smile at you both and sit down.
" So who has to go to school today?" You ask.
"I don't." Says Tre'. "But I think I'm going to take care of something." He says looking at Billie. Billie smiles and goes back to his food.
"Yeah, I don't have to either but I think i'm going to go talk to Alex later." Says Mike.
You nod and continue to finish your breakfast.
"So Billie, what are you going to do today?" asks Mike.
"I think I'll study. Might go down to the park later. I don't know." He says.
"How about you Jess?" Says Tre' as you get up to clean you plate and put it in the dishwasher.
"I don't know. Stay home I guess. I don't have any exams until tomorrow." You say.
"Well I'm going to Go to Alex's. I'll see you guys later." Says Mike getting up and putting his plate in the washer. "Hey Billie-Joe can I talk to you for a minute?" He says motioning for him to go to the lounge.
