Bitter Sweet, chapter 1
Ring Ring<p>Mike looked at his phone ID, It was Holly. He answered it.<br />"Hello?"<br />"Hey Mike its Holly, ummmm we need to talk... is it all right if I come round?" <br />"Yeah sure."<br />Mike put the phone down and wondered what Holly wanted. 10 Minutes later the door knocked.<br />"Hey." said Mike still wondering.<br />"Umm hi listen Mike, well I like you and all but I don't think we can carry on going out."<br />"Why?"<br /> "Well... when you went out to see Jason I fell in love with... Billie." she muttered the last part as if ashamed.<br />"Oh." was all that Mike said he looked at his feet and Holly walked out.</p>
<p>It had happened again. Billie had stolen his girl. Billie was the one that all the girls liked but no Billie still insisted on stealing his girls. Mike just sighed and sat down. He asked himself how many times this has happened? First Lucy, then Jo and now Holly. And Billie just expected Mike ignore it. Mike sighed again and went to bed.</p>
<p>The next morning was band practice in Tre's house. Billie was there with Holly all over him. Tre just looked at Mike as if to say sorry. Mike just shrugged it off like he didn't care. But inside he was tearing apart. <br />Billie and Mike didn't talk all morning, whenever Billie said they were gunna do a song Mike just nodded his head and stared at his shoes. They started off and started practicing with Holly watching Billie and not taking his eyes off him. <br />When it was finally over Holly went home and left the guys to pack up. Mike had just put his bass in his case and zipped it up when Billie spoke.<br />"Look Mike I'm sorry... we just..."<br />"Yeah bonded I know."<br />Billie stood there for a moment wondering how Mike knew what he was gunna say. When he realized he had given this speech many times before.<br />"Well it's not as if you were'nt gonna break up anyway." spat Billie.<br />Mike looked away but from where he was standing Tre could see the hurt in his eyes.<br />Billie got angry then because he thought Mike was ignoring him but in fact Mike was just trying not to cry.<br />"Look dude stop ignoring me!She never loved you any way!"<br />Tre flinched at Billie shouting at Mike but just looked at Mike for a reaction<br /> Mike didn't speak and Tre didn't blame him. <br />"Look Bill that's enough." muttered Tre.<br />
"No its not he's an asshole and I hate him." Said Billie bitterly.<br /> Tre looked at Billie as if he was mad.<br />"Yeah that's right I HATE him!" shouted Billie.<br />Mike picked up his bass without a word and walked out of the garage they had been practicing in.<br />"What the fuck was that for?" asked Tre
<br />"I dunno I just... he should be happy for me I mean... " he stopped
<br />"Look Bill Holly was his and you shouldn't risk your friend ship for a girl." Said Tre, suddenly all wise.<br />"Mike didn't do anything to deserve what you did!" said Tre starting to get frustrated.<br /> Billie started to think...
He had to say sorry to him... . But that would mean admitting he was wrong.
<br />Tre left Billie alone to think. Tre got in his car and drove to Mike's house.
<br />Tre knocked on Mike's door, no answer.<br /> He got the spare key and opened the door. <br />"You here Mike? Its just Tre." Shouted Tre.<br />"I'm up here" shouted Mike<br />Tre walked up to Mike's bedroom and there was Mike sitting on the end of his bed with his bass, Tre could tell he had been crying. Tre sat down next to Mike and put his arm around his shoulder.<br />"Come on Mike, Billie didn't mean what he said."<br />"Yeah he did." muttered Mike
<br />It was at that moment that Tre realized how bad this was.<br /> "Come on Mike, Billie will apologize and then we can record Dookie?" <br />"Yeah I suppose." said Mike.<br />Just then Mike's cell rang.<br />Tre still wondered how Mike afforded one, well he lived in a crummy house and soon they were all gunna move in together so they could practice whenever and have more money, Tre was interrupted by Mike shouting.<br />"What's wrong?" asked Tre as Mike put the phone down.<br />"It's Jason... "<br />"What's he done this time?" smiled Tre
<br />But Mike want smiling he was getting his coat
He looked at Tre and shook his head, "he's in the hospital, and he was in a car accident."<br />Tre's mouth dropped open. Jason was one of Mike's best friends.
<br />They both jumped in Mike's old car and sped off to the hospital.</p>
<p>When they got there they were greeted by a doctor. He told them the room and they ran to it. Mike asked the nurse what was happening as a load off doctors came in. She asked him was he a friend or relative and he said yes.
The nurse sighed and then told Mike that Jason had just passed away.<br />
Mike just stood there, speechless. Tre put his arm round him. Mike started crying and then walked to his car. Tre drove him home and left him to himself. </p>
<p>When Tre had gone Mike walked to the beach. There was nobody there so Mike just sat on the rocks and watched the sunset.<br /> Thinking of Jason and Billie. He started muttering, Jason Andrew Relva, kicked life in the balls, until life got him back. Mike snapped out of it and wondered what he would do next.<br />Meanwhile Tre was driving to Billie's. He knocked on the door and Billie answered.<br />"Hey dude what's up?" asked Billie.<br />"Look Bill, Mike needs you more than ever." Tre Said<br />"Why?" asked Billie.<br />
"Well I went to see Mike and when I got there his cell went off and it was the hospital and then we found out that Jason was in hospital and when we got there Jason was dead." Shouted Tre as he nearly run out of breath.<br />"Jeeze... Jason... " Muttered Billie.<br />"and I'm... afraid Mikes gunna do something stupid" stuttered Tre</p>
