Since Billie Joe knew I was kind of out of it because KC left he decided to cheer me up. He called me into his room and told me to sit on the bed. I did, then ha said.
"Caroline guess what?"
"What."
"Your coming with us to the VMA's."
"What the hell! REALLY." Believe me that cheered me up. He sat rocking in his chair smiling,
"Oh my god when is it?!"
"On the 28."
"Today's the 17, that's not that long from now, I need to find something to wear." I knew that I sounded preppy but I was so happy.
"Wow slow down we still have a couple of weeks until we're there."
"Yeah I know."
"And there's something else, since you came on tour after was got our assigned seats, you kind of won't be sitting with us, your in the same row but just not with us." He said getting quieter as his sentence went on.
"Well do you know who I will be sitting next to?" I asked.
"Uhhh... No." He said quietly.
"Oh well that's not going to ruin my good time." I said cheering up.
"Good."
"Haha but watch me get stuck next to Mariah Carry. I think I would crack." He started laughing he knew I didn't like her, that much, and thought of me next to her.
"What should I wear?" I asked him.
"Well you have to perform, so-"
"WHAT!"
"Uhhh yeah you have to perform with us before the award show starts... Or at least it's the opening."
"T-the o-o-opening." I said stuttering. "Damn."
"Its ok its not as bad as you think." I sat there covering my face, I'm going to have to whip up a lot of courage for this thing.
"OK, so what should I wear?"
"Well for the opening you should wear your normal performing clothes, then after that you can wear anything you want to."
"Alright, at least I won't be all sweaty." I mumbled relieved.
"Or at least in your sweaty clothes."
"Yeah." I said quietly "When are we going shopping?"
"How about tomorrow." He said smiling.
"Sweet." I smiled cheerfully and leaped off the bed.
"Alright I'll go tell Tre and Mike and everybody that they doesn't have to keep it secret anymore. Believe me Tre was going to explode if he kept it in any longer."
I smiled and walked out of my room and picked up my phone and called my house.
"Hello?"
"Hi Joe is my mom there?" Joe was my moms boyfriends son, he was my living hell when I was home he annoyed the crap out of me, but its not that bad now that I don't have to see him anymore. He has ADHD and cant help himself but still it didn't make a difference to me.
"Uhh yeah." He said in a not so clearly way, the normal way he talked.
"Hello?"
"Hi mom." I said
"Hi Caroline." I could tell by her voice that she was smiling.
"Guess what." I said.
"What?"
"You know that big award ceremony on MTV the VMA's" I said hoping that she remembered.
"Uhhh Yeah."
"Well Green Day got nominated for a bunch of them."
"OH MY! That's Great!"
"And yeah we all get to go and I'm performing."
"THAT'S SO GOOD CARLOINE! I'll have Alaura tape it." Alaura is my older sister.
"Alright."
"Caroline guess what?"
"What."
