The Website, chapter 1
<p>"Ring-ring-ring-ring-ring-ring-ring-ring-BANANA PHONE! Ring-ring-ring-ri-" The music, which was blaring at full blast, was turned down a little bit so you could actually hear yourself think. Think! Imagine, thinking while listening to some stupid song about bananas and phones... The ideas these days!<br />And this idea wasn't very popular among the little kids, either.
<br />"B-But that was our favourite part!"<br />"It's not fair! Mommy always lets us play that song loudly!"<br />"You're so mean!"<br />The three fair haired, blue eyed triplets glared at their babysitter with passionate hatred... as if those three toddlers even knew what hatred was!<br />Glaring back, Jessi, the babysitter, pushed a strand of her jet black hair behind her pierced-too-many-times ear. <br />"Yeah, I'm mean. I'm also going to go insane with all this racket! How many times do I gotta tell you? I'm doing homework, I gotta think! And in order to think, I need to either listen to real music or at least have the stupid music at a reasonable volume!"<br />Tiana, the most shy, and the most curious, pondered Jessi's outburst with a thoughtfull expression on her face.<br /> "What... What does reesoonible mean?"
<br />"Reasonable. It means to listen to your babysitter, because she knows best!" The great thing about babysitting five year olds is that they didn't know anything, so it's very easy to lie and get your way.<br />Sheena, the boldest and loudest (and personally, Jessi's favourite), burst out, "But that don't make since!"
<br />Since? Oh, she meant 'sense.' These kids were adorable in a way.<br /> "Yes, it does. It also means it's past your bedtime. Kitty, don't cry..." Katherine, who's nickname was Kitty, cried and laughed easily. She was also very scared of the dark, and hated to go to bed.<br /> "It's okay, Kitty, because Tedders' ear is back on! Now Tedders can hear the nightmares and scare them away!"<br />"I-I d-don't wanna g-go to b-bed!" sniffed Kitty, until Jessi bent down, picked up the small girl, and slung Kitty over her shoulder.<br /> "Ohh!" giggled Kitty, tears evaporating at once.<br />"Me too! Me too!" cried out the small voices of the others, bouncing up and down. Jessi sighed and struggled to pick up the other girls, almost dropping Kitty on her head. Three shrill giggles filled the room with joy, and Jessi had to laugh along, carrying them to their bedroom.</p>
<p>Tucking them in, Jessi turned on their stereo, which was playing songs from The Lion King, one of Jessi's favourite movies.<br /> "It's the circle of life! And it moves us all. Through despair and hope..." Jessi sang along, trying to lull the girls to sleep. "Until we find our place..."<br />"...It's the circle, the circle of life!" finished the tape, and the stereo moved on to Akuma Matata. Smiling, Jessi left the room, leaving the door open a crack so Kitty won't get scared.</p>

<p>Jessi talked to a few more people who were online, but most of them were losers. She guessed everybody was at that dance... Stupid babysitting job. Who need money for another pair of jeans if she didn't have a dance to wear them in? Her school had uniforms... Ugly ones, with plaid skirts and giant white shirts that made even the biggest girl looked flat.<br />'www.geekstinkbreath.net' Jessi's fingers typed, and she clicked the 'Go' button with the wireless mouse.
<br />After a few moments, the website loaded. Jessi scanned it for a while, thinking, then clicked 'Register.' Might as well, she thought. Better than doing nothing. If she didn't like it, she could always just not go on it anymore. She needed a new addiction, anyway.<br />Little did she know that website would change her life forever.</p>
