My Life With Tre, chapter 1
I count down the seconds 'til I leave for the next Green Day concert in America. I moved here 2 months ago to start a new life, (I'm 24) I'm supposed to be meeting my idols tonight not just in concert either....in person. I won a competition in my old country Australia to go see Green Day live AND to meet them backstage after the show, how lucky I thought to myself as I run out the door to get the taxi.
On the way out I grab my drum sticks off the table (I also play drums). Inspired by the famous and silly TRE COOL. I pay the taxi man and think to myself oh my fucking God, I'm 24 have a house in the "riches" part of America and I catch a taxi to a concert!?!
I think "oh well" and laugh to myself and run into the mosh pit area and get a spot right up at the front. After the concert I am taken backstage by a couple of security guards with a couple of other people who won the competition and am greeted by none other than Tre Cool.
"Hello my children," he says sounding like a devil or something.
I laugh to myself and he looks at me and goes, "well what do we have here?"
I look at him and say, "hey".
"Are you from Australia?" he asks me.
I say, "Yeah how you know?"
"Your cute Aussie accent," he replies smiling, and I feel myself blush as everyone stares at me and I feel my self go even more red in the face. Tre says to me "c'mon I'll show you round."
I say, "What 'bout the other 2 people?"
"Well Billie & Mike should be here soon," and just as he says that, Billie and Mike show up and Tre laughs and says, "Speak of the devils."
Billie and Mike greet me and the other people then we are all asked our names. When it comes to me Billie says, "hello."
I reply and say, "hi."
Then Mike asks me, "and what's ur name?"
I reply and say, "Um my name is Rhiannon."
Then Tre pipes up, "Oh Rhiannon what a sexy name," in a growly voice as I giggled.
Billie and Mike say, "Tre not now," in unison and everyone laughs including Tre. Billie takes one of the girl's arms and leads her into a room. Then Mike takes another girl's arm and leads her into the same room then Tre takes my arm and leads me into the same room.
