Where is Blue?, chapter 1
[b]Sunday 13 Feb.[b]
''Billie, come on, we gotta do some practice while we're down here, put the beer down!" slurred Mike. He and Tre had come to work on some new songs, but had completely forgotten about it as soon as they cracked open their first drinks.
"Dude, its 11 already, the kids are in bed, we can't make that much noise!" said a half drunk Billie Joe. He was right, Adrienne would go ape if she heard them making so much noise, so they decided not to take the risk.
"What should we do then?" Tre said, though he already knew what they were going to do.
"You thinkin' what I'm thinkin?" Mike said to Billie.
"Party!" they said in unison.
As soon as they got in the car, they screeched down the road to the local boozer.
They made their entrance, asked for three pints and got down to some serious drinking.
Soon they were [i]very[i] drunk.
Soon Billie Joe saw and old friend and started chatting
"Yeah, Green Day" he said. "How many guitars? About 7 or 8, but my favorite is Blue, I've had it since I was 11, if I didnt have her, I don't know what I would do!"
At 3 AM they stumbled back home, unable to drive, said goodbye to each other at the cross roads and whent to their homes.
[b]Monday 14 Feb.[b]
It was 2 in the afternoon, and Billie Joe had just got out of bed, with a pounding headache, he stank of liquor and fags. He took a hot shower and made himself a large breakfast, humming a tune as he did it.
Mike and Tre came over at 5 and they got down to some practising.
Half an hour through, Mike said
"It just doesn't sound right, we need a grittier sound. Billie, go and get Blue, that has the right sound for this."
"Ok, and Tre, turn the snair off, I'll be back'' Billie agreed, then left.
Billie whent to the living room, where he always kept Blue, but got a shock.
He returned to Mike and Tre empty handed.
"Billie, where's Blue? We need it. You didn't forget, did you?" Mike laughed.
"No, I didn't forget"
"Where is it, then?" said Tre.
"Tre, Blue's gone!"
