A Ticket From Heaven, chapter 2
"We've got 3 hours until the show starts so what do you want to do?"
"Erm... " I looked around, "Hows about we put these passes into practice and go and meet the guys?"
"YEAH! LETS GO!!"
We giggled and raced backstage just in time for me to bash into the one and only Tré and send us both flying.
"Hey, sorry about that!" Tré apologised as he got off from where he fell on top of me.
"It was my fault anyway, I'm sorry." Tré smiled as he helped me up and I brushed myself off while smiling back.
"I'm Tré,"
Like I need any introduction!
"Hi! I'm Katie,"
I heard Rachel groan from where she was waiting as we got talking and she walked off in search of Billie Joe and Mike.
"So, what you doing back here anyway?"
I realised I must have looked like the bloody paparazzi with my digital camera around my neck!
"Oh, I'm here with my friend. Her cousin, Craig, was working with you guys and he told you about me and Rachel, and Billie gave us two backstage passes and tickets to this show!"
I explained quickly and then took a deep breath as I think I was about to die (I was standing talking to Tré Cool from Green Day Ok?!)
"Oh yeah! I remember him telling us about you!" he smiled
I giggled; he had the nicest smile I had ever seen.
"So... you want to go for a drink or something?"
Oh my god! He asked me for a drink!
"Yeah! But... I'll have to tell Rachel what I'm doing first."
"Ok...so I'll meet you here in about...10 minutes, yeah?"
"Yeah, bye!"
I went to find Rachel, who I soon found chatting happily to Billie and Mike.
"There you are Katie! I was beginning to think you and Tré had got up to something!"
I smiled, I can tell that she was joking and she wasn't worrying about me that much because there was a sparkle in here eyes that said 'I'm with Billie Joe Armstrong and Mike Dirnt from Green Day! Can you believe it?!'
"Well actually... "
"OH MY GOD KATIE!" she interrupted with a 'messing about with me' look in her eyes "DON'T TELL ME YOU GOT OFF WITH TRÉ!"
"NO WAY!"
I felt blood rushing to my cheeks - well, she did say it in front of Billie and Mike!
"He asked me out for a drink, I was just coming to tell you."
Rachel stared at me with utter amazement in her eyes but Billie and Mike just looked kind of bored standing there so I thought I'd better say Hi
"Oh, hi Billie, hey Mike!"
"Hey."
"Hi."
I looked back at Rachel; she was still staring at me with amazement,
"Well...um...I guess I'd better go and meet Tré...he uh...he'll be waiting for me,"
With one last confused glance at Rachel I started to walk back to where Tré was waiting for me.
