At The Library, chapter 11

‘Brother, sister. No no no’, Pip said shaking her head as she walked out of the hospital wing. Billie walked out with her and followed her as she walked into a spare wing.
‘Billie, the tests have stuffed’, Pip said, giving him a hug. Billie looked at her trying to smile but it was no use.
‘No, I think they’re right’, he said calmly. Pip looked at him from in his arms and didn’t know what to say.
‘Billie, they can’t be. You’re blood related, I’m only a friend’, she said in hysterics. Billie-Joe made her rest her head down against his chest before she started to speak to her again.
‘They might have mixed, they might be real. The only person who knows for certain is Joey and well, I don’t think he’s going to be very willing to talk to’, Billie told her, making her calm down. It didn’t seem to work though, all she managed to do was work herself back up again, and start crying heavily. Billie kissed her lightly and held her in tightly before they were interrupted.

‘Hey Billie, we heard about Tim’, Mike said, walking in on them. They quickly moved away from eachother, but not quick enough to not let Tre catch them.
‘Is it true you guys saw it all?’, Tre asked, brushing over what he just saw.
‘Yeah’, the both let out, sadly. Pip flicked her eyes over all three of the men who were in the wing and then walked out. Tre decided to follow her out, leaving Mike and Billie alone.
‘Oh just great, now Tre’s going to kill me’, Billie let out, taking a seat on the spare bed. Mike sat up next to him and talked to him, so that he wouldn’t work himself up over something that he didn’t need to.
‘Listen Billie, right now all you should be thinking about is your brother. Pip and Tre can sort out all their stuff by themselves’, he told Billie, which made him relax a little more.

*Outside the Hospital*

‘Tre’, Pip said, crying into him. Tre kept her close and comforted her when he could as best as he could.
‘Pip, shh, it’s alright, don’t work yourself up’, he told her, letting his hands run up and down her back.
‘No Tre its not. I should have been honest with you’, she told him, wiping back tears from here eyes.
‘No I should have. It wasn’t right that I played you on like that, I’m sorry’, he told her; spilling all the truth she wanted to know.
‘No Tre, it’s my fault. I let my feelings take over and they did. They shouldn’t have’, she told him, holding back anymore tears that needed to be.
‘Shh, it’s alright. Darling, it’s alright’, he told her clasping her hands and holding them up. He brushed the hair out of her face and looked as deep into her eyes as he could.

Billie and Mike decided to go find them, so that they could give them an update on how Tim was going. As they stepped outside, Billie stopped Mike from going any further. They listened to the ending of the conversation Tre and Pip were having.

‘No I always will’, Pip let out.
‘Then it’s alright’, Tre told her, giving her a final kiss. Billie let out the deep breath he was holding, and slid himself down the wall.
‘Mate you don’t know what they were talking about. I could have been anything’, Mike said, trying to get Billie to stand back up again.
‘No Mikey, he got his girl back, and anything we had is gone’, Billie said, bringing his knees up to his chest so that he could put his head down. Pip and Tre came around the corner a few seconds later.
‘Billie what’s wrong?’, she asked, taking a seat next to him.
‘Nothing that you could understand’, he told her. Pip was taken back and looked at Tre who walked Mike away so that the two could talk.
‘Billie, don’t be like this, I have the best thing to tell you’, she told him, cuddling up to him. He stayed all defensive for a while.
‘What, Tre and you are together again?’, he said wearily. Pip played with his hair for a while before she told him an answer.
‘What? Well I haven’t exactly told him about us yet’, she said softly, starting to think if they were going to be words of regret. Billie looked up at her and wondered, if she was going to ever tell him.
‘But it will happen soon, trust me’, she told him, cuddling into him a little more.
‘Come on we should go inside’, he told her, breaking off any contact he had with her. She watched him get up and make his way over to the hospital before she followed him inside, wishing her words would have come out better.

*At Home –Note: Billie, Mike and Tre are still at the Hospital with Tim*

‘Joey, I don’t believe you. ADOPTION! You put me up for adoption!’, Pip yelled, at her new to be found father, ‘And my mum, would you mind telling me about her’.
‘Listen, Pip I’m sorry alright. I’m sorry. I didn’t think I could handle bring up two kids, so..’, he told her.
‘So what, you give me away and then try to forget all about me. Joey, my whole life I’ve lived is a god damn lie’, she said, trying to keep her anger in, but it was no use. She took a seat down on the couch and cried to herself.
‘What about Billie. How does he fit into all of this?’, she asked tearily.
‘He and I are half brothers’, Joey told her, and she could see the whites of his knuckles starting to come though. She flicked her eyes away and bit her lip, forcing the tears to dry up, but they didn’t. They still ran as if they had never stopped. Joey got up and walked to the front door of the house.
‘I’ll have my phone on me if you wanna talk, or I don’t know’, he said, slamming the door shut behind him.

*Mike, Billie and Tre at the park on the way home from the hospital –Billie and Tre are drunk-*

‘I don’t want you to take my girl away’, Tre let out, as best he could, slamming Billie up against a wall in the alley way. Billie tried to fight back but it was no use, Tre was stronger than what he was.
‘Tre, she’s not yours. You never even loved her’, he said, breaking away from Tre’s grip, and forcing the smaller man to the ground. They fell on their bottles, making them crack and break underneath them. The glass came up through their shirts and sliced into them, as they rolled eachother over on the ground.
‘I do love her, its just she’s in-love with you, and I’m not going to get her back until she knows you don’t love her’, Tre told him, forcing Billie back to the ground.
‘But I do love her, you don’t’, Billie yelled back, picking up broken glass and swiping it a Tre. Luckily he missed, before Mike had the chance to jump in and break it.
‘Guys, come on. Look at what you’re gonna ruin your friendship over. A GIRL!!!’, Mike said, pulling Tre up off of Billie. Billie hung in the hair for a while, trying to swipe again, but it was no use. He wasn’t able to.
‘I’m going home’, Tre announced, as he continued walking forward in a zigzag motion. Billie got his way out of Mike’s grip and ran after him.
‘You think about touching her and you’re a dead man’, Billie warned Tre, spilling more beer from the bottle in his pockets.
‘Why am I dead, your dead if you touch her again’, Tre said pushing him away, as he started running to the house. Billie picked himself up and chased after him.

Around the corner they both went, before Billie stopped to see Tre wasn’t in sight.
‘Mikey, he’s......’, Billie managed to say, before he tripped over his own feet and landed on Mike.
‘He’s what?’, Mike asked him confused. Billie pushed Mike away and kept running towards the house.

*At Home*

Billie burst though the door, making his way through the house. No one was there. The house was empty.
‘Pip’, he yelled numerous times, carrying himself up the stairs, to where he thought she may be.
‘Billie’, she said puzzling, coming to the door. He walked over to her, in a close to straight-line and put his arms around her.
‘I love you, and I don’t care what anyone says I want to know that you love me’, he asked her dropping to the floor. Pip knelt down beside him and tried to pick him up again. Billie flicked his eyes up and saw Tre lying on the bed, in Tim’s bedroom. The bedroom he shared with Pip, since she was living here.
‘What’s he doing here?’, Billie asked, as his eyes came into focus a little more. His voice was slurring as the alcohol was starting to take more of an affect.

‘He’s just resting’, Pip told him, trying to lift him up again. Billie asked her the question he asked again before this time wanting an answer to come from her.
‘Billie, of course I love you’, she told him, letting him lay where he was since he was too heavy and spun out to carry to his room.
‘Well, Tim says he loves you too’, he informed her. Pip’s eyes lightened up.
‘Really, how is Tim?’, she asked, her voice becoming a little more up lifting.
‘Tim......Tim’s gone.......’, Billie said shockingly, ‘They didn’t get the blood supply to him quick enough’, he finished before he fainted back down into the ground, leaving only Pip to cry by herself until Mike had reached the house.
