At The Library, chapter 9

‘Why would Tre say something like......Oh My Gosh, I bet there’s a girl here’, Pip said furiously tying to make her way to the front door. Billie stopped her by not letting her get though.
‘Don’t worry about Tre’, he told her, ‘Just before you told me that you practically hated the way he treated you’. Pip looked down and hugged Billie for no real reason. She thought it happened to be the only thing that was worth it at the time.
‘But why did he bring them home?’, she asked him, keeping her tears back.
‘I don’t know, come on we’ll go find Tim’, Billie told her leading her to his brother’s room.

-Tim’s Room-

‘Awe he’s sleeping, how cute does he look? Do you treat him like a brother or a nephew’, Pip asked sweetly. She walked into the room, only planning to say if Tim was awake, but Billie managed to follow her in so it meant that they were most probably staying there.
‘Like a brother. We’re closer than you’d think. What’s that?’, Billie asked her as she picked out a few boxes from her bag.
‘Hair dye’, she told him, zipping the bag close. Billie looked at her for a few moments before he spoke.
‘You’re gonna dye your hair. No keep it the way it is. You look good’, he told her as convincingly as he could.
‘No I wanna dye it. I don’t want to have the same hair as my sisters. I wanna go darker’, she told him.
‘Pip, lets not go to extreme. Honey to Black, and what’s this?’, he asked taking a look at the smaller box.
She took it back off him before he had enough time to read it properly.
‘Blue dye, how come?’, she asked him. He looked at her innocently.
‘Nothing, it’s just. Well honey looks good on you, like it does Tim. It suits your blue eyes’, he told her looking down at his sleeping brother and back to her, ‘Like you’re kinda related’. They giggled at the thought.
‘Okay fine then, I’ll just do it black, the colour can go in another day’, she told him, walking to the bathroom.

-A few hours later-

‘Do you like it?’, Pip asked, walking back into the room.
‘OMG you cut it’, Billie said wide eyed. Pip flicked in behind her ears and smiled nervously.
‘It suits you so much’, he told her, giving her a hug. She smiled a hugged him back and looked around the room for a mirror. While doing this she noticed Tim was missing.
‘Billie, where’s your brother?’, she asked him, Billie looked around the room.
‘I don’t know, I fell asleep before waiting for you’, he told her innocently. Pip began to worry again.
‘Billie we should go find him’, she said dropping what she had as she made her way to the door.
‘We don’t have to, listen’, he said, holding her back. Pip stopped and listened to the noise that was coming from Joey’s room.

‘Would you stop trying to father me? I don’t want another dad. The one I had is gone, I don’t want a brother trying to take over his place’, Tim screamed, throwing something to the ground.
‘Tim I’m not trying to father you, alright. I just don’t want you to stuff up the way I did’, Joey told him trying not to let his anger get to him.
‘Stuff up the way you did? All you’ve done is ruin my life’, he screamed back.
‘Well I’m sorry Tim alright. I’m sorry I’ve had to keep a lie away from you for this long, I’m sorry I stuffed up as a parent I only wanted to make sure you weren’t going to get hurt’, Joey told him, breaking something.
‘What, so you keep this, this lie from me for 16 years and then expect me to all of a sudden forgive you when you decided to tell me? Is there anything else I should know?’, Tim said frustratingly, making his way for the door.
‘Well actually......’, Joey said being cut off by Tim’s rage again.
‘No don’t worry about it. at the moment I cant trust you. I can’t trust Billie. I can’t trust myself’, he said walking out of the room, leaving Joey to think about what had just been said.

On the way out Tim managed to run into Pip and Billie who were walking down the hall to Tre’s room to ‘set him straight’. While walking the 3 managed to run into eachother.
‘OMG Tim, your alright’, Pip said as her eyes lightened up.
‘No I’m not’, he said, pushing his way though them.
‘Tim wait, please, we can talk about this’, she said, following him down the stairs. Billie did the same to make sure nothing would happen.
‘We can’t talk about it, I can’t trust anyone’, he screamed making his way out of the house.
‘Tim, please, just don’t..........’, she said being cut off. The sound of screeching truck breaks was enough to finish off her words.

-The Hospital-

‘I hope that doctors back soon, my arm is killing me’, Pip said, rubbing her arm up and down where a blood sample had been taken from. Billie sat down before her and talk to her.
‘Pip, it’s alright. Your sample is going to match up with Tim’s trust me. You’re the same blood type’, he said.
‘Billie, I’m sorry’, she said beginning to cry. Billie picked up her hands and held them close to himself
‘Sorry for what. None of this is your fault. Joey’s the one to blame’, Billie told her, rubbing her hands softly.
‘No Billie, if I hadn’t of tried to talk to him and tell him everything was going to be alright, he wouldn’t have run across and we wouldn’t be here’, she told him starting to cry more deeply. Billie knelt up and gave her a hug, letting her cry into him.
‘It’s not your fault. Don’t blame yourself’, he told her, rubbing her back softly as he pushed her hair from her eyes. He watched her blue tear stained eyes, look at him as if everything was going to be alright, but he knew deep down she didn’t feel like that.

‘Well I have some good news for you’, the doctor said walking up to them. Pip and Billie both turned and looked up at him.
‘Well firstly, you two match up and your clean for anything so we can have a transfusion set up soon’, he told them seriously, ‘Secondly, you two are related’.
‘Related’, Pip said wearily, ‘No that’s not possible we only met a few weeks ago’, she finished. Billie hugged her again and told her everything was going to be alright.
‘See, you two matched up. I told you I wouldn’t’, Billie said calming her down.
‘Well actually’, the doctor started, ‘You two match for sample but not for relation’.
‘What do you mean, I’m his uncle’, Billie said worryingly.
‘Well the DNA in the blood doesn’t lie. It said the closest you two could be would have to be 4th cousins at the most’, the doctor finished.
‘What about me?. Maybe the samples are wrong or missed up? So how close are we, like cousins or something’, Pip suggested.
‘No according to the sample, you’re related as in brother/sister’, the doctor told her...
