Welcome To The Green Day World Tour 2005!, chapter 2
**For the sake of the story and so I don't get confused and screw up the whole thing, I am changing Amy's name to Lauren. Sorry for any confusion, and enjoy.**
OK so Lauren and I were backstage at a Green Day concert. This rocks. I looked at Lauren and the excitement in her eyes said it all, she was just as happy as I was.
"So you're going on in two hours, right Mike?" I asked.
"About that, yeah." He replied.
Now, Tré had always been my favourite Green Day guy and Lauren loved him as well so we were both clamouring to get his attention. Billie Joe was in the corner stretching his legs and warming up his voice, and Tré had plopped down on the sofa just across from Mike, Lauren and I. I was a little bit squashed, as the couch we were on was only a two seater, and I moved next to Tré. I thought Lauren would glare at me but we were really good mates and something as small as this wouldn't affect that.
"So how's Frankito and Ramona?" I asked Tré.
"Good."
"How's Estelle?" Lauren asked Mike.
"She's fine. So how old are you guys?"
"12 and 13." said Lauren.
Tré handed me a pair of drumsticks.
"Can you play?" he asked.
"Kinda. I mean I can carry a beat and do some rolls. I used to be unco but I'm not anymore."
"Awesome. Let's go see what you can do."
He led me into a room with a small drum kit in it. There was a bass, a snare, a hi-hat, two high toms, a ground tom and a crash cymbal.
"This is the little kit I practice with before we go on."
I sat down on the stool and played the first bit from Jesus Of Suburbia.
"That was good. Can Lauren play anything?"
"Yeah, she plays the bass." I replied. "Where is she, by the way?"
"She's out there with Mike."
I heard the low sound of a bass being strummed. It was one of Lauren's tunes that she made up. I wasn't surprised. She loved to show off her skills.
"Time to go and make things happen." said Tré.
"What do you mean?"
"Have you seen Bullet in a Bible?" he asked.
"Yeah, of course." I replied.
"Well then you've seen where Billie has a strum of the guitar and we all sing some of Jesus Of Suburbia?"
I nodded my head.
"That's what we're about to do." said Tré.
