The Pain of Loving the Drummer, chapter 1

"Please Tay."
"No, stop asking."
"Please. Come on what's the worst that could happen?"
I stopped walking and looked at him.
"I could fall for you."
"What's so bad about that?"
I started walking again.
"If I fall for you Mike would kill me."
"Why?"
"Uh, hello! Me, Mike's sister. He would flip."
"Just one date. One, you can choose what we do."
I stopped walking again.
"Tre," I bit my lip and looked at him, "I don't want to fall in love and get hurt."
"I wont hurt you."
"How do you know?"
"I just do. Just one date and if you want, we can go on more."
"God it's hot. Why is it so hot?"
"We live in California."
"Oh yea, I'm so glad school's over now, we get the whole summer to do what ever."
"One date."
"Tre..."
"Skate park?"
"No, I just wanna chill at home."
"Okay, let's go to my place It's closer than your house."
"Whatever. You're giving me a piggy back ride though."
"Okay."

I jumped on Tre's back and rested my head on his shoulder. I really like him but what can I do? He's my brother's best friend. Just one kiss.
"What'd you say?"
"Hun?"
"You said something."
"No."
"Yes you did. You said something like just one kiss."
"No."
Tre grinned.
"Yes you did. You want me, you really do."
"Just a little."
Tre let go of my legs and I slid down his back. Tre looked at me and kissed me right there in front of his house. He kissed me so softly and so passionately I thought I would melt. When he pulled away he looked in to my eyes.
"Tre,"
"Yes."
A tear rolled down my cheek.
"Why did you do that?"
"I like you."
"You can't."
"Why?"
"I told you. I don't want to fall in love, and I already am okay? Just don't do it again."

I start walking to my house slowly, then I started running. I wouldn't stop, I couldn't, I ran home. When I got home I ran to my room and locked myself in there.
"Tay what's up?"
I heard Mike's muffled voice through my door.
"Nothing."
"Tay tell me."
"I can't."
"Why?"
"I just can't Michael."
"Okay, I'll be in my room when you're ready to talk."

I heard Mike walk to his room and shut his door. I could tell he was leaning against the wall that separates our room. I walked over to the wall and leaned against it too.
"Tre right?"
There's Mike's muffled voice again.
"Yes."
"What is it."
"Why am I talking to a wall?"
"You won't talk to me face to face."
Under my breath I say, "Yea that's cause I don't want you to kill me."
"What?"
"Nothing."
"Tell me."
"No, you'd hate me."
"So I'll get over it, what's up?"
"He kissed me."
"What?"
"See that's why I don't tell you things."
"I'm your twin brother, I'm gonna find out sooner or later. He kissed you?"
"Yes."

You don't hear Mike say anything for awhile so I get up and see Mike standing in my doorway.
"You scared me!" I fell on to my bed and laid there.
"Sorry?"
Mike walks over to my bed and sits right on top of me.
"Owe, you're smashing my lungs."
Mike moves so he's sitting right by my head.
"Did you enjoy it?"
"Yea I guess."
"You and Tre would look so cute together. You with your blonde hair and black tips and Tre with his green hair. So cute."
